DAP 00585 Latex 6oz, White All Purpose Plastic Wood Filler, 6 Oz

I was skeptical but it actually works, my dog chewed the trim around the window and I put a layer of this on and next day added another layer and then I sanded it down and painted the trim to match, it looked as good as new!

Dries fast. Easy cleanup. Not very elastomeric, but thats typical of wood-fill products, so I just apply two or three thin coats instead of one thick coat to avoid any cracking. Filled knots, cracks, scuffs in fence boards PERFECTLY, so I bought several more tubes for other projects.

Used in a project to fill part of a hole in a piece of furniture on the sides of a small dowel. Very messy to work with. When all was finished this stuff took a long time to dry and then crumbled. Was not impressed.

I purchased this product to fill a hole in my indoor camper door. The hole was only an inch in diameter. I applied several layers and let it dry in between, but this product cracked as it dried and eventually broke out.

After reading the negative reviews I felt pretty good about buying this. I was not planning to feed it to my pregnant wife, nor leave it open to dry out. I would recommend having gloves on and to follow all of the directions on the tube. Ive placed it on several areas outside the house with wood damage and have painted over it in past week. Things look to be doing well with this product and I would consider buying it again. No visible degradation has happened so far with inches of hard hitting rain and temperatures over 90 with direct sun exposure for hours. There is not much in this tube so it is a bit of an expensive fix should you have a larger project that needs to be done. Definitely better than the stuff I have used in past at Lowes.

I used this to fill up holes in a bookshelf project that is to be painted white. This filler works great. Dispensing is easy and clean up is a breeze. Only downside- it is too expensive for its size.

I wanted to paint a section of panelling on my wall that had some damage to it. There were damaged places in a variety of sizes and depths. This wood filler went on easily, dried quickly, and was easy to sand to a very smooth surface. The paint covered in 2 coats and I cannot tell where I used the filler. I would definitely rate this an excellent product.
