Great product! Best one that I’ve used. The only complaint that I have is that the tube was only half filled. It was more like 4 ounces, not 6 as I had expected. I don’t remember this to be a problem when I’ve purchased this at a retailer store. I don’t think that I’ll purchase this product through Amazon again. I’ll just make a run to the hardware store next time and make sure that the tube is completely filled.

I broke down my bedroom door because my drunk a$$ locked myself out, instead of paying my owner for a whole new door I decided to use this to fill in the cracks and stuff that I made. The only problem I have is that the tube is HALF full making it really hard to squeeze out because I had to like crumble it for it to come out the tip. Other than that the product is good, it was easy to apply and dries pretty quick! I just squeezed it to my finger tip (with gloves) and smoothed it down into the cracks I need to fix, this is much better than me having to pay like $300 or more for a door

    Greater than one week

After reading the negative reviews I felt pretty good about buying this. I was not planning to feed it to my pregnant wife, nor leave it open to dry out. I would recommend having gloves on and to follow all of the directions on the tube. Ive placed it on several areas outside the house with wood damage and have painted over it in past week. Things look to be doing well with this product and I would consider buying it again. No visible degradation has happened so far with inches of hard hitting rain and temperatures over 90 with direct sun exposure for hours. There is not much in this tube so it is a bit of an expensive fix should you have a larger project that needs to be done. Definitely better than the stuff I have used in past at Lowes.

I had three stripped-out screw holes where my upper door hinge attaches to the door frame. Since there are only two hinges, the door was kind of flopping around loosely. This is the front door to my apartment, so its important that I keep it locked when I leave. And the only way I could lock it was by lifting the door by the door knob and pulling it shut so it could latch. I was going to inform my landlady, but she kind of freaks out whenever I call her with a problem -- so I decided to attempt to repair the stripped-out screw holes myself, and leave the poor lady alone. After reading some of the reviews for this wood filler, I decided to order it and give it a go. I received the product a couple of days ago. I decided to start with one screw hole -- just to see how it would work. So I splooged a fair amount of the wood filler inside the screw hole, pushed it in with a jewelers screwdriver, re-splooged some more in, and continued the process until I was certain Id really filled the hole up as much as possible. (Splooged is a scientific term; you can look it up!) I then let it set overnight, and attempted to screw the screw back into the hole. The entire endeavor proved fruitless. The screw went in real loose, and kept turning sloppily -- no grip whatsoever. Undaunted, I went back to Amazon, and proceeded to read some of the Q&As on this wood filler. One suggestion I read indicated that one might insert a toothpick or a wood sliver into the hole, along with the filler, and that might shore up the hole effectively. However, I had no toothpicks. But I did have an old pine board that wasnt doing anything in particular. I decided to kind of cut into the board and produce two good-sized slivers that were thick enough so that I could hammer them into place within the screw hole, after I applied more wood filler. Again, I let it set so it could harden. Before I attempted to screw the screw back into the reinforced hole, I decided to smear more wood filler all over the screws threads, just because. And who was gonna stop me?! No one, thats who! Finally, I began to carefully and slowly screw the screw back into the hole without re-drilling. Right away, I noticed a big difference. There was a lot more resistance present as I hand-tightened the screw with my handy dandy screw driver. When the screw was flush with the plate, I really reefed on it to see how tight I could get it. Success!!! I tightened the screw as much as was physically possible, and it appeared to hold beautifully. I followed suit with the other two screw holes, and was successful on both counts. Problem solved! I hope it holds. However, Im not certain how much the wood filler played a part in my repair job. I mean, it couldve just been the slivers of pine alone that did the trick. Or maybe it was the combination of the pine-sliver inserts and the wood filler that proved effective. Id like to think the latter is correct, because I sincerely wish to justify this purchase. So, thats the reason for the four-star review. Hope this helps! Thank you very much. Goodbye.

I used this on my Chester drawer leg and on my bed frame where some screws were stripped out of the wood. The product was very easy to use. Nails drilled in and held tight on the bed frame. On the dresser leg I had to fill the holes and leave the screw and leg in tact to dry. And it also worked out great. Clean up is a little annoying after you sand down the extra dries residue.

I needed some wood filler to fix the bottom edge on one corner of a vertical wood trim piece sitting on the concrete floor just in front of my garage door, where animals had chewed out an opening to enter the garage. Ive always used the thick type of wood filler that comes in a small can, but decided to try this plastic wood filler because it was white, the same color as the painted wood piece I was repairing. While I eventually was able to build up enough filler to take care of the problem, it took many applications of a small amount of filler because its consistency was thinner than I expected. So each application of a small amount had to dry overnight to be able to add more fill to eventually create a vertical edge and fill the opening of about half an inch in width. The consistency was really too soft and runny for what I was trying to do. I think the traditional type of wood filler would have worked better as it is much thicker. This material is more like the consistency of silicone caulking, so it has a tendency to drip/run very slowly downward when applied to create a vertical edge. It should be OK in a horizontal application. Also, when dried, I would that this material is not as hard as the traditional type of wood filler.

It works well if you follow the instructions and dont put it on too thick at once. Several thin layers, allowing the previous one to fully dry/cure between applications and it will be very durable. The water clean up is a nice labor saver and you can adjust the color easily if done before applying it.

Dries fast. Easy cleanup. Not very elastomeric, but thats typical of wood-fill products, so I just apply two or three thin coats instead of one thick coat to avoid any cracking. Filled knots, cracks, scuffs in fence boards PERFECTLY, so I bought several more tubes for other projects.

I have been using this wood filler for several years. We completely gutted the house we bought. Redid the inside from the studs out. This has worked extremely well when finishing the trim work. Also, have used the natural color to finish Natural Cedar walls we put in. It does shrink a small bit when it has dried, so I usually apply a second and rarely a third application before applying the finish seal on the wood. If I’m not happy with the color blend after the wood filler has dried, I used a colored pencil to touch up the wood filler to match before sealing.
