These are junk, do yourself a favor and buy more expensive ones. out of the 10, 3 of them had dead shorts and cost me about 2 hrs trying to figure out where it was.

Worked like a charm. Tested polarity and it was as described. Using this to rig my battery powered trashcan to be powered from a wall plug instead. It defintely did the trick.

I didnt purchase these for cameras. They seem perfect for the electronic projects Im using them for - one pair is on a 24vac 5 amp supply, although Im likely not running over 3 amps - no issues so far but I dont know what they are rated for - Im more than satisfied and really glad to have them - so far they have met the need quite well. (most of time I am only using the male side (on power supplies)) For heavier current levels I use Anderson Power Poles but these work very well at lower current levels

These are exactly what youre hoping they are: a fast, simple, and secure way to add a plug to the end of wires. You wont have strain relief, but you already knew that.

These connectors are so easy to install for building extension cables for my foldable solar panels to my solar controller for my LifePo4 battery. My solar generator has these DC ports and I have used them to create various links like battery clips and Anderson Powerpole links. Be sure to use with some Heatshrink for a good looking connection.
