Will short barrel pin due to lack of adequate insulating shroud when inserting. Connect and disconnect de-energized! Was kinda loose on one, not for critical applications!!

These paired (Male-Female) connectors match any standard surveillance camera and associated power supply. But I really bought them because I needed a connector I could easily plug/unplug for a gadget I was building. Its not as small as some other power connectors (USB micro, etc.) you could use but these will handle a fair amount of power, match up with readily available 12V power supplies and have terminals (marked with polarity) for easily terminating various sizes of light-gauge wire, solid or stranded. Just a very flexible, easy to use and convenient plug-in power connector!

They seem to be made pretty sturdy. But the terminals are pretty useless. Its hard to get the length of stripped wire just right and even if you do, you have to really crank down on the screws to keep the wire from just slipping out. I dont have much faith that the will stay on the wire. 2 out of the 10 female connectors didnt have conductivity from one terminal to the corresponding connector. Of course, I found the first one because after installing it, it didnt work. Tested the rest so I wouldnt make that mistake again. Thats a 20 percenk loot failure rate. Unacceptable!! UPDATE!!! Now 3 have proven faulty (all female). If I didnt already have most of the others installed, I would send them all back.

They work as expected

I have never seen such BAD connectors. The screws dont work on half the connectors and the internal connections on others are completely broken. Horrible Horrible Horrible. I tried 16AWG and 20AWG. Stranded and solid. Same awful connections that wont hold a light tug on the wire. I bought these to save time. Avoid at all costs.

Was introduced to these for installing my LED undercounter lights. Wow! So much more secure than some of my connections using the squeeze channel was to connect.

Bought a dozen of these to get Power across additional Cameras on Cat5e, while still running on a BNC/ rg-59 camera system. This will allow future upgrade to an IP camera system by having the Cat5e infrastructure in place on these new camera runs.

I didnt realize how handy these were until I got a hold of one so I ordered a pack, would recommend them they do as they work as they should
