Baby Ddrops were recommended at my newborn sons first month checkup by his pediatrician. She explained that most Americans are deficient in vitamin D as we spend less time outdoors in the sun. Or, when we do take in some rays, we are not absorbing enough vitamin D since most of us apply sunblock or have it in our moisturizer or cosmetic products. It turns out that our little ones are also not getting enough of this essential vitamin, especially as parents are instructed to keep their sensitive skin out of the sun during infancy. My sons pediatrician gave us a small sample bottle to start with that included a 15 day supply of the drops. After using up the sample, I ordered the 90 drop box from Amazon when I could not find the product at our local pharmacy. The drops are very simple to apply to your skin before nursing. You just turn the bottle upside down, and the Eurodropper ensures that the one drop serving is released. For those mothers that are not breastfeeding, the directions state that you can also apply the drops onto a clean finger or pacifier. The package instructs that baby is supposed to suck for at least 30 seconds to get the full dosage. You can also mix the drop with formula, juice or other food. I never notice a difference in the way my son nurses when I apply the drops. The product does not have a strong taste or scent, so it makes it easy for baby to consume. When I give Baby Ddrops to my son each day, I feel better peace of mind knowing that he is getting a boost, especially to his sensitive immune system.

UPDATE - I tried these again a few months later (LO was originally almost 5 months at first, was around 7-8 when I tried again) and no gas this time! Maybe her system matured more fully or something. But Ive given them to her every day for over a month and no gas problems. Im so happy because these were the best drops, so Im glad I can use them! Try again after 6 months if these give your baby gas. I did a lot of research and these are the best vitamin D drops as far as ingredients. But unfortunately they gave my baby bad gas. I recommend trying them because theyre better than the competition, but just beware in case your LO gets gassy. Also, as others have pointed out, the dropper is horrible. I ended up just putting a drop on my finger and letting her suck it off. I tried putting it on my nipple before nursing but it was impossible to see how many drops she was getting.

I don’t know why all pediatricians to breastfeeding babies don’t just automatically prescribe these instead of those awful dropper ones that you have to find a way to get your breastfed baby to swallow 1 ml of! My girl has spit up issues when she was younger and was a bottle reject baby. Every 3 out of 4 times I gave her the 1 ml dropper kind, she’d get so upset that she’d throw up not only the vitamins but whatever breastmilk was in her little tummy. Then a girlfriend told me about these. They are a lifesaver!!! One drop on the nipple before a feeding was all it took. Taste never bothered my girl.

    Greater than one week

We got this brand of vitamin D drops as a sample from our pediatrician and the baby likes them, so we got the full-sized bottle. The drip top of this bottle is easy to use (easier than the sample), and isn’t messy. The drops are flavorless (to me), and our baby likes them and doesn’t have any trouble with excess gas or upset tummy from them.

I like that it is just one drop a day and my daughter doesn’t seem to mind the taste but I have two issues with it: first, it is very hard to see how much liquid is left in the bottle, and second, it takes longer and longer to get a drop out of the bottle when the supply is running low even though there is still enough for a month or so.

My pediatrician recommended we start our son on vitamin d drops. I carefully research everything we give our son, and this was no different. I was happy to find that these contain only fractionated coconut oil- no additives, which is a huge plus. My baby doesnt seem to mind the taste at all. The only thing I dont love is that the dropper takes a long time to release drops. If youre breastfeeding a squirmy baby, its super difficult to hold the bottle upside down for 10 seconds, aim it onto your breast, all while holding a baby that wants to eat. I started giving the drops to my baby on a spoon, it is so much easier to control and I can be certain that the entire drop is going into his mouth.

Our pediatrician recommended these drops for our daughter during her first visit after discharge. We would place the drops on her pacifier during the first couple of months and now (10 months) she takes them on pretty much anything...our pinkie, her finger, spoon, etc. Doesnt seem to have a bad taste or at least she doesnt mind whatever the taste is. We try to get outside pretty often with her but never hurts to supplement. Plus studies are showing that Vitamin D may be just as effective if not more than Vitamin C at supporting the immune system. Please note Im no doctor and that claim is strictly based on personal research. Consult your doctor before administering to your child.

My daughters pediatrician recommended this product for when she was a newborn. She had a little bit of a yellow hue to her skin tone, and her Dr said it is because infants dont get enough Vitamin D. I would drop this into her bottle a couple of times a day, and it kept her looking (and probably feeling) normal.

After getting a sample of the DViSol liquid for my little guy, we found it hard to get down him after the first few times. I ended up feeling bad because of the amount of liquid we had to give him every day in the little syringe. He would look at me like I was trying to feed him soap. This is ONE drop. All I have to do is either drop it onto my finger, my boob, or into his little mouth and thats it! There isnt a taste, so he doesnt give me a grimace or gag. So easy, convienent, and better for my baby. I know hes getting what he needs with this bottle!
