We loved this dehumidifier for its compact size and powerful dehumidifying features however it stopped working about a year after we got it and there is no product support available. Disappointing

this is a nice little dehumidifier. very practical for small spaces, easy to handle and clean. small but collects lots of water, I have a lot of moisture in my beach apartment. I bought this for my my walking closet and so far I am very satisfied with the product and I love the lights. maria v miami beach,fl

I love this little humidifier but now that I’ve had it for a few weeks, I’ve realized it’s not strong enough even for my very small bathroom. I wish I had purchased the larger one. Just be aware of that. Update: Customer Service contacted me and they were super professional about everything. They addressed my concerns and offered me a full refund. I decided not to go with that but they are sending me the bigger one instead free of charge. Very happy with this experience. Wish more companies were like this. Thank you so much!

EDIT: the company reached out to me looking to make my experience better and to fix the problem however I needed. Im changing my review because thats excellent customer service. I will be looking into their other products and hopefully find something that can better suit my space. :) Ive had it on non stop since I recieved it, and its hardly collected any moisture. The lower setting on the fan is nice and quiet, but it doesnt seem to do much of anything unless its on the higher setting. And thats not super loud, but its noticeable for sure. I have it in a fairly small space, actually less than what its supposed to be good for. So Im not really sure why it hasnt done much. I have a humidity reader in the room its in, and its staying around 70% humidity in there still.

I had a small flood in a utility closet. Afterwards, some areas of the concrete were not drying. I also had concerns about mildew so I needed a dehumidifier. This one by Makayla was right for the size. After setting it up, the concrete dried very quickly. Ive left it running pretty much non-stop ever since (a few months) and there havent been any functional problems. And admittedly, I get a kick out of those lights reflecting through the water. Good night light for the utility closet. My only real issue with the product is that it makes a terrible ruckus when it is first turned on after emptying a full tank of water. This did not occur the very first time it was used. Regardless of which mode you use, theres a loud whirring type of mechanical whine. So far, the sound has always gone back to normal after a few minutes. Except for this start-up issue, both modes sound fine and dont bother me. Although there were instructions not to mention this, I received a post card in the mail asking me to write a five star review. It also said that if I had any issue with the product, I should e-mail them first. I told them about the whine and got this response: Hello, If you have any questions during the use of your machine, you can contact our official email at any time After you give a 5-star review, we will send you the corresponding gift card code For being shady, Ive left three stars instead of four.

Very pleased at how quiet it is (sounds like white noise) and works very well for the purpose. You could also use as a night light if needed! Would purchase again if needed more.

There were two consecutive nights in September that were perfectly cool and breezy. It’s not often that the evening is just right to open all the windows and let the night air in. I did notice it was humid but not at all hot or even warm. So all the windows were opened up and the whole house exhaust fan turned on to really pull in that cool air. For two mornings the fog was pea soup. Still didn’t occur for me to think about those floors and the air being so moisture-laden you could wring it out. We could feel the new floors cupping, crowning and bowing! Pure panic set in. I quickly ordered this great little dehumidifier and it did its job. Sucking the moisture out of the bedroom floors. It’s been several weeks and it is still extracting moisture. It has diminished over time and the floors are still a trifle out of sorts but vastly improved! The room is about 300 sq feet and I have moved the unit a few times to help evenly remove the humidity. Not sure if that helped but it certainly didn’t hurt. The unit has a gentle hum which isn’t the least unpleasant. It looks nice and is relatively unobtrusive. Easy to empty.

---UDATE 3/2/23--- Their customer service team kindly reached out to me after they saw I didnt have the ideal experience and have offered compensation to get another one of their models. Ive updated this review to have 4 instead of 3 stars. Happy to bump it up to 5 if this new unit works better (waiting to receive it now)! Whatever your experience is with the product itself, Id say you can rely on having a great experience with this seller which in my opinion is just as valuable as the product being purchased! (Below is the initial review) ---------‐------------------------------------‐----------- The product has successfully sucked in moisture the 4 times Ive used it...but it didnt suck in nearly as much moisture/humidity in the air as I was hoping. Maybe my expectations were too high or I got a defective unit, but I used it in my small bathroom with the door closed while running a steaming shower. I get its not meant to suck up all the steam quickly like a vacuum/bathroom exhaust fan, but it took quite a while after my shower was over to collect a very small puddle of moisture from the air. I will credit the products low noise feature. Its not silent, but is a nice low level fan sound that isnt bothersome at all. I can see myself being able to fall asleep with it on. I wouldnt be surprised if it being low level noise and not being as powerful as Id hoped are connected. All in all...its low noise, it does suck up some level of humidity in the air, and the LED lights are a pretty feature (and you can turn it off if you dont want it)...but if you were hoping to have this be an alternative solution to paying a lot to install a bathroom exhaust fan/window like I was, I wouldnt recommend it.

This is a great little machine! I’m located in the south and this dehumidifier works extremely well to remove excess humidity in my bedroom. I empty the reservoir about once every three days. The red light indicator is helpful too. Would buy again.

Excessive humidity in the air can easily cause physical discomfort and even poor sleep. Are you still annoyed at the damp room and bad smell? Just have a look at Makayla 30 OZ Dehumidifier. Let it run for 1~2 days, and the dehumidifier will bring you fresh air.

The small dehumidifier is well-suited for any room. Tips: To ensure optimal performance, please don"t place the dehumidifier with its back against a wall or any obstacle that may obstruct the air intake.
