> 3 dayI was able to snag one from the warehouse for $300 it was like new but had one dead pixel in the upper center and also a stuck pixel on left side when black. It does have bad flickering with the freesync/gsync when the fps drops below 75fps. So games that only run at 60fps Ive had to turn it off for those games. Even though it does not have the best HDR it looks good to me even fire looks great. The colors pop for games like Genshin. Blacks do look black even though its not OLED. So if your on a tight budget and want a ultrawide and flickering does not bother you this may be a good buy for you!

> 3 dayOverall this monitor is ideal for open world or singleplayer games. Obviously you can play competitive shooters on it like I do, but sometimes you can notice some smearing in dark on bright settings. Set to 80% brightness, the second-fastest response time, and freesync enabled, this monitor is simply fantastic. Controls are intuitive, it gets very bright, and the picture is simply lovely. Especially for singleplayer games. You really get immersed Obviously this monitor is BIG. Dimensionally the panel is about 32 wide, 15 tall, and the stand takes up about 11 of desk space. It is height and tilt adjustable, both pitch and roll Its a great buy for 450$, what I paid for it, but ive seen sales for this monitor as low as 380$. For that price, its a fabulous deal and a purchase you wouldnt regret Bonus points for the joystick control on the back. Way easier and more intuitive than buttons

19-04-2025The Dell S2722DGM is a very good monitor, especially if your main purpose is gaming and of course if you have a modern day graphics card. There are a lot of positive talking points to discuss about this Dell curved monitor and some minor negatives or miss steps on their part, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation of the monitor. The monitor comes from Amazon in its original retail box, which is an issue, because it is not double boxed and not extra protected, its prone to sustain some major damages during transportation, and that is exactly what happened to the first unit that was delivered to my house, upon inspection, the monitor screen was completely shattered inside, luckily Amazon was super fast to replace it and the second one came intact. Dells retail box is well designed with some images of the product inside and some of the most important features and specs outlined as well, unfortunately the packing insulation inside is not the best, the monitor is only separated with recycled cardboard and there is almost no foam protection. On the top side of the cardboard, there are the power cable, HDMI cable and the DVI cable, in addition to a small user manual and a warranty card. Inside and sandwiched between the two cardboard isolators is the monitor, the base of the stand and the monitor stand. Positives: - Great screen resolution and refresh rate - 2560x1440 is currently my favorite screen resolution for gaming, this partnered with 165Mhz refresh rate and 1-2 milliseconds response time, is a recipe for a good gaming experience. - AMD FreeSync, but most of all nVidia G-Sync technologies on board - FreeSync is great, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that nVidia G-Sync was available as well! G-Sync was not mentioned anywhere, not on the box and not on the Amazon page, but G-Sync is on and working, attaching some screenshots from my GPU control panel. - Display port 1.2 and HDMI 2.0x2, 3.5mm headphone jack on board - great options for input, with the DP 1.2 you can use the max 165Hz and with the HDMI 2.0 the max is 120Hz. I would recommend to everyone to use the DP cable and port as you will be enjoying the maximum potential of this monitor. - Cables included - a lot of monitors are being sold without the DP or HDMI cable in the box, and this one is providing both. - Matte screen - no glare, no reflections on the screen, the picture is clear and crisp. - 99% Srgb and 350 nits of brightness - making this monitor not only good for gaming but for content creation as well. - High quality metal base and monitor stand - although I am using a dual monitor arm on my desk and I am not using the monitor stand that comes in the package, that stand is actually pretty good with a sturdy solid base and numerous adjustment positions. - Narrow side bezels, making the picture even more immersive and the monitor more compact. - Some good and useful options on board - Timer, FPS Counter and Dark Stabilizer, plus switching between the different panel speeds directly from the menu as well. - No RGB on this monitor - thank Dell, there is just a single small blue led light throwing light downwards under the monitor over your desk, nothing too distracting. Negatives: - Its still a VA panel - No IPS or anything better as a technology, so there are some picture compromises, but still better than TN panels. - Curved - now I am not still sold on the curved as a benefit, I would probably love those specs to come in a regular flat panel, but that is just me, some people might love the curved panel. - 2ms response time, if you want to benefit from G-Sync and FreeSync, if you set it to 1ms response time, those technologies become unavailable. - No HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 on board - A bit heavy as the power delivery is built into the monitor and is not on a separate power source. - Somewhat expensive - at $300, and considering the VA tech, I think that Dell is pushing it too much, at $250 this monitor would have been easily recommendable and more competitive. Overall, I like this monitor so far, it was a good step up from my previous 1080P 144Hz monitor, I can definitely see the difference in the GPU performance finally.

> 3 dayI bought this Dell Curved Gaming, 34 Inch Curved Monitor with 144Hz Refresh Rate, WQHD (3440 x 1440) Display, Black - S3422DWG and would be going from a 27 IPS screen to this VA screen. Reading about the differences I was expecting the picture on my new Dell to be a bit of a downgrade on how the colors would pop. I was willing to make this tradeoff for more screen real estate. However while there is a difference in the two monitors, as to be expected between any monitors, the color issue is nonexistent. This monitor, hooked through the display port, running at 144 HZ, on a 1660 super card is simply brilliant. I did a lot of youtube research before deciding on what model to buy and this one kept coming up as the best in its class as a VA screen. The next possible option was to go IPS and spend another $300-350. Im glad I decided to save a bit of cash and go with this Dell. Its bright, clear, with no dead or bright pixels. Sitting in front of the screen there is no fade as one looks to the edges. Also for a VA screen one can go quite a ways side to side before noting any fade in the picture. To me that is a nonissue anyway as Im always at the desk if using the computer. I was going to install it on my moveable arm but, the stand is so nice, and the monitor so big that I decided not to do that. Instead I used the included stand and it works great. My adjustable arm and old 27 were moved together to my old standby computer and are doing quite well there. The only issue I had was registering it at Dell. When I clicked on the link at their site to register it would only take me to their diagnostic tool that would determine what product I had. Heres where the trouble started as it would only scan my pc, not a Dell, and say my computer couldnt be registered. Duh, its not a Dell. So to register it to my Dell account I had to call Dell support and talk to a tech who completed the registration for me. Ive had it now for almost three weeks and couldnt be happier with my choice.

> 3 dayFirst I will say that Im going off of Prime. The shipping is becoming to problematic with drivers taking hours breaks when youre next in delivery. The guy literally drive past my house and Im still waiting on the replacement to be delivered 5 hours later. This is not the first time this has happened, so were ending Prime as we order mostly tech. We can get this shipped to the Best Buy store or ordered for pickup and waste less time waiting for delivery to avoid stolen packages. That way we can just go get them when were ready, instead of sitting around half the day waiting for a delivery time in flux. Im doubting this will even get delivered tonight, so Im probably going to be doing the same thing tomorrow. --- As for the panel itself. Its a fine build quality. The colors are nice. The brightness is nice. However, the marketing is misleading as you will not get great results if you try to run this panel as Extremely Fast. There will be overshoot. It will be noticeable. So, forget about 1ms G-to-G response times. Youre going to be running 2 at best. My panel had multiple bright pixels in the panel. I had to queue up an exchange immediately. One Im sometimes good with, depending on location, but mine had like 3-4, and with any dark picture on the screen, they become VERY noticeable. The USB ports are a nice touch, and the varied placement is great. Works well with FreeSync and GSync. There are drivers at the Dell Website which installs the correct display profile for Windows. The unit ships with both a DP and HDMI cable. Not sure why they didnt put speakers in them. Sometimes I dont feel like wearing a headset (fatigue, etc.). At this price point... thats a curious omission. EDIT: Replacement monitor arrived with no dead or bright pixels. Household agrees we can let Amazon Prime go and just order our tech for Store Delivery with Best Buy. Allows us to get packages without staying up until 9-10PM when we have to be up for 5-6AM.
