I typically use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shaping Cream, which I really like. Its on the pricey side so I starting scouting for an alternative. Between the favorable Amazon reviews and several rave web review, I decided to give this stuff a go. My hair is very straight and extremely fine, not to mention full of cowlicks. On the plus side, the price a great. It does an okay job keeping hair in place. On the down side, its a weird, gooey consistency and I can never seem to get the right amount. Too little and it does nothing. A little too much and my hair feels like a greasy mess. Ive seen several reviews complaining about the smell. It basically smells like coconut oil and is not a big deal. Its good enough that Ill be able to finish off the substantially-sized 5.3 oz. jar. When its gone Ill be going back to the shaping cream. As an aside, my container had a picture of a crowd with their hands in the air instead of the steamy romance novel lid shown here. Not that I have anything against cheap romance novels, but it seemed a little weird for hair cream...

I recently switched barbers and they convinced me to start using a molding creme in my hair to allow some more hip, contemporary style options. I am usually wary of cremes and gels, but after some gentle persuasion I agreed to give this product a try. There wasnt the odor I expected like from some hair cremes I had tried, which was encouraging. Once worked through the hair it remains fairly pliable, rendering it neither heavy and greasy nor stiff/sticky. Dollar for dollar this is probably the best hair product I have ever used, but I do wish it wasnt quite as heavy, which isnt the ideal combo for my fine hair, but would probably be pretty much perfect for most other hair types.

I never used hair gel until 15 years ago, on a whim during a trip to Europe, I went to a barbershop in Brighton, England to get a simple haircut and they offered to put use this on my hair before I left. I came back the next day to see if they had it for sale, which they did so I bought a jar and Ive been using this stuff most days ever since. It the only thing that works and, simultaneously, is not greasy. Its a bit pricey but this is the best price Ive been able to find...

Ive been looking for a hair product over the years that does a few things: - Holds all day - Looks natural - Doesnt give that 1950s grease look This product fits the bill. No longer do I have to see that 1990s LA Looks style that looks like a glob of hair gel nor do I have to see the thinned-out mouse look or sporting the military crew cut because of the Im tired of fiddling with my hair routine. Cons: - Expensive creme Otherwise, spectacular product. I highly recommend it.

One of my favorite pastes I’ve ever used. It smells good, isn’t super greasy if you use it correctly, and the hold is pretty decent for a paste. Definitely worth the money.

This creme is extremely easy to use. I just apply it to my palms and run it through my hair. Its not as strong as I hoped, losing it strength after about 3-4 hours. It still keeps the hair in the direction that I put it in, but it no longer has the lifting hold that it has at first. The major bad thing about this product is that it smells like coconut. If you dont like a fake coconut smell, then you wont be able to stand this at all. Fortunately, it seems to go away after the first hour. Other than the terrible smell, this is fairly good, albiet a bit expensive.

For years Ive been looking for a product to hold my hair and not be like a helmet or look wet like gel. This product can do it all! If you put it on when your hair is dry, then you can sculpt the look you desire. When the product dries a little , you can run your hands through your hair and still keep or change a bit of design. I like it because even if my hair gets a bit messed, it will overall keep its form and you can sort of guide it back to form. If you apply this when its wet then you have a wet look. Its my favourite product and you dont need tons of it to make it work, though more hair will need more product. This is a great price for the5.3 OZ ( which is what I get)

I use this program daily on my hair. It is the product of its type that my hairdresser has found. She turned me on to it years ago. Glad to get more so I never run out.

For over 8 years I have been using d:fyi and I hope they never stop making it as it is an excellent product. My hair does not clump, dry out, flake and later in the day if I need to restyle my hair all I need is a little bit of water and d:fy is pliable and the water does the trick. This is a superior product and I cant imagine using anything else. The price is great here on Amazon as the larger, blue colored lid will last you on average over 2 months as less than a nickel size goes a long gone wa .
