Aurora Cabin was given to me as a gift. I am very pleased with how this project turned out, though it took me a little over a year to finish it, but it was well worth the effort. I ran out of the blending filament, but that was my fault. I had never used blending filament before, and it took me a little to figure out how to use it. I discovered it was best to use short strands, because it frays quite easily. I was able to find an exact match for that filament at our local craft store. The kit did include plenty of the other floss colors but I did need extra needles. One of the required floss colors was not listed on the key chart but I was able to figure out which color it was. I contacted the manufacture to verify that, and they replied quickly. I used a combination of 1/4 and 3/4 cross stitches along the roof line of the cabin, that were not called for in the instructions. I thought it gave the roof line more of a straight edge, but that was just me opinion, and that was the only thing I changed. I had it professionally framed, and have receive a lot of positive comments about it. I would recommend this highly, and really have nothing negative to say about it.

This cross stitch picture is not for the beginner as it has lots of complicated stitches. The advanced stitcher however, once completed this makes the most beautiful Christmas picture. Its detail is breath taking. It almost looks as though you are looking through a window at Santa Claus himself. I, myself, have stitched this picture and it is truly one of my all time favorites. The detail is amazing. Every stitch comes together to form an extraordinary piece of art. Once framed it becomes and even more beautiful people of artwork. This one was way to gorgeous to give away. This one sits on my wall every year at Christmas.

Have been working on this since January 2016. Going a lot fast than I figured. Really easy to follow instructions and everything was there. Almost half way done and it seems like there will be extra thread to put aside in case it is needed. Seller shipped real quick to, I got it in under two days! I used my free Amazon prime shipping and about 30 hours after I ordered I had it. Was awesome! Thank you for ou!

Dimensions Gold Collection are my favorite counted cross stitch kits. Im currently halfway through stitching Balloon Glow and its beautiful -- detail rich with a lot of depth. The two that I have completed in the past (Cabin Fever, European Bistro) were equally beautiful and fun to stitch. HOWEVER, I gave up on one called Memory Lane because it asked you to use too many ply at a time, making it a pain to stitch. I realized that some pattens recommend you use needlework stretcher bars to stretch the fabric while you stitch. I would personally recommend against those kits. The kit comes with 2 needles, 18 count aida fabric, a large pattern (half of the pattern on 2 pages), and presorted thread (I still put them on my own plastic sorter and draw the symbols next to each color so that I dont have to reference the list all the time. The cardboard is flimsy and doesnt have holes -- instead, the threads are glued into the sorter, so once you take it out youd better have a place to put it back. [Also, ive tried punching holes in the cardboard sorter and it didnt go well -- to0 flimsy. Invest in a sturdy plastic sorter). It is for experienced stitchers, but its not difficult if you know what youre doing. This is a big project: it has taken me about 2 years to complete each one, but that will obviously depend on how often you stitch. I am a student so stitch a lot more during summers and holidays. Most of the stitches are done with 2 ply, but some half stitches call for 3, 4, or 5 ply. The 5 ply parts can be a bit of a hassle, but they are worth the overall result.

    Greater than one week

beautiful design with all the threads included. This has taken me much longer to complete than I thought it would, very detailed design will be worth it when its finished.

Tulip Trio was a lovely kit to stitch. I did have some issues with the colors being so similar and light that stitch placement was a little tricky. I am careful to always prep my fabric (in this case, it is 14 count ivory Aida so it is easy to see), to serge the edges, and to grid the fabric every ten stitches using 6lb red nylon fishing line (much less expensive than the type for needlework but pretty much the exact same stuff.) It took me a couple of months to stitch this design which is quite long for me. Once I finished it, I love it. It is so beautiful and elegant. I havent had it framed as yet but I am thinking that it would be beautiful in my guest room. It reminds me of springtime and beautiful flowers - really a lovely piece.

Just cant go wrong with a kit like this that provides all you need. So satisfying to see it completed little by little.

I like the way the thread is separated. The instructions are easy to understand. I think a beginner should start with a simpler picture though.
