You need to be careful that the number on your controller matches or can interface with your system. If you do that, the chances that it will work out go way up.

Our DirecTV remote stopped working. I just decided to browse Amazon to see the cost. I was so excited to get a 2 pack. We were so pleased at how easy the set up was. Just follow the directions on screen. After fighting a torn up remote for months, this new remote is like a Birthday surprise.

Here is one of the questions asked by a customer.. Will this remote replace a direct tv remote RC65X? Answer: Yes everything the same just upgraded for Newer TVs and other Components I own a RC65X remote and this does not work. After 2 hours of trying different codes (and by the way the code that should work was listed) I give up.

Easy to set up.

Shipped the wrong remote control because they no longer carried the RC66X. Instead they shipped the RC66RX. I could not program the RC66RX to operate my Samsung TV because, according to Direct TV customer service, the RC66RX is not compatible with the Genie system mini receivers that was connected to the TV although it did operate the receiver itself but not the TV. I called the 3rd party seller who explained to me they did not carry the RC66X and they would tell Amazon to credit my account without me having to return the incorrect RC66RX to them. I will have to look around for a seller that carries the RC66X
