Smooth and strong. Not sure about light or laundering fastness, have not washed.

The colours in the package are bold and perfect for what I intend to cross stitch a Christmas stocking. I know from previous project that DMC is a excellent brand for cross stitch projects. I am hoping this thread is the same.
