Greater than one weekIn the 70s, people were advised to take Dr Bonners Castile soap on any long camping trip to use for washing clothes, body, hair and toothpaste. For some reason the use of this soap did not transition into everyday normal use. I started using this soap everyday around 9 years ago and it is one of my absolute best personal care products because I can clean my self with one scrubbing. (I use a scrub brush with the soap.) There are other good soaps but none can compare to the way Peppermint Castile cuts through the dirt. Not handmade goat soap or even African Shea soap leave my skin feeling this clean. I need a powerful cleaner to scrub my combination oily and dry skin and Peppermint Castile is the most powerful. The only trouble I have with this product is due to its liquid runny viscosity causing me to spill half of the product on the floor of the bathroom shower. Now, I put the soap in a pump container which dispenses small amounts as needed. Your skin is your largest organ so you dont want any harmful chemicals to be absorbed by your skin. Dr Bonners has been known for years to be environmentally friendly and healthy for your body. Remember, all people react differently to skin care products but from my personal experiences, this soap keeps me clean and refreshed!

> 3 dayA liquid alternative of the bar soap. I use it in every shower I take and a little goes a long way. **I came back just to add to this review. Amazon says I bought this in JULY 2020 and it is now MARCH 2021. I am finally at my last few drops in the bottle. I use a few drops per shower to wash my face, underarms, and lady bits; showering every other day, usually. This has been a steal of a deal and I’ll be repurchasing. I’ve never had better soap, including the bar soap, which I used before I purchased this bottle.

> 3 dayI like the smell of their peppermint much better. This scent is unremarkable at best.

> 3 dayUnlike past orders (other sellers, and other liquid products, not this one!) where caps were cracked or broken and product was lost, THIS one arrived with a cool little strap that made sure the lid was always closed. It was also sealed in a plastic bag. Past the boring stuff now. What CANT Bronners be used for?? I was introduced to its scent back when my art teacher had students use a diluted amount for cleaning our tables and tools. (It works well for getting acrylic paints off of brushes.) Forgot about it until rock climbing with friends and discussing how little prevent of rock and sand can get into the belay ropes and act as tiny little knives on the core fibers. A couple friends mentioned Bronners was strong enough to help wash out dirt and sand while being gentle enough to not compromise rope. At friends apartment, I was taking a shower and didnt realize that the soap dispenser was filled with undiluted Bronners! A bit stinging clean until you get used to it. Smells natural and great and takes me back to 6th grade art class. Ive found that if I wash my underarms well with a rag and Bronners in the shower, I rarely need deodorant.

> 3 dayDay 1. Your package arrives and youre excited to try out the soap you found sitting close to the top reviewed on Amazon and cant wait to smell like a candy cane instead of a teenage locker room. You get in the shower and read the directions that say squirt a little soap into your hands with water or a wash cloth. You do that, and then you think that cant possibly be accurate so you squirt a second time to be safe. You lather and start to wash yourself, and the great scent of peppermint starts wafting up and you begin to think about how great of a purchase this was. After a few more seconds the wafting becomes an invasion of your nostrils as the peppermint grows stronger. Now your entire bathroom smells of peppermint and you realize that they did indeed mean just a small squirt in their directions. As you continue washing all your memories are only of peppermint and you begin to forget any scents you might have gathered in your lifetime. All there is now is peppermint. You finish cleaning yourself and you step out of the shower, dry off and notice the peppermint is starting to subside as the water washes the soap down the drain. Life is slowly returning to normal as you pick the clothes you decide to wear for the day and suddenly realize the peppermint scent is delicately lingering on your person as you move from room to room. You smell like a candy cane and that joy that comes from that carries you through the day. Day 2. You are now an expert at Dr. Bronners Peppermint Liquid Soap and use the recommended amount. The experience is much better and you still smell like a candy cane by the end of the shower. Best of both worlds. Day 5. You see on the bottle that theres 17 other uses for this soap mixture other than cleaning yourself and you become curious, wanting to try a few of them. You decide to clean the floors with it, diluting to the recommended amount and making your house smell of peppermint. You never knew life could smell so clean. Day 22. Your life has been taken over by the peppermint. Youve cleaned your entire house, yourself, and your dogs in this product. You begin to see things that dont smell of peppermint as not pure - you begin to not want to leave the house. All things must be pure. All things must be peppermint. Day 74. You see the bottle beginning to run out. You make sure to order 4 more bottles to last you for the unforeseeable future.

> 3 dayDefinitely cleansing but didint strip my locs of every bit of moisture like I thought it would.Have been on the hunt for a good clarifying shampoo.Perhaps I have lots of product build up though. It got a good amount of the product in my hair out though.I liked how it worked on my skin and arm pits..wew..super duper clean there. It has a decent amount of lather buf I prefer my soaps to have lots of lather. The tea tree smell isnt my favorite but thankfully not overbearing with all of the other lovely ingredients.I love how transparent this company is on their packaging too.Nice to have lots to read in the shower : )

> 3 dayLove that you can trust what goes in to Dr. Bronners products and that you know you are cleaning things with whole and natural ingredients! Ive used this as my body wash in the shower as well as a shampoo once or twice. Its got a nice smell, not as rose-like as I expected but still smells good. It also took a few times to get used to the tight feeling you get after rinsing it off your body. Feels more like a bar soap does when you wash it off. Im planning to use this for other things too -- laundry, cleaning products, etc. You cant go wrong with Dr. Bs! About $3 cheaper at Walmart/Target

> 3 dayI bought this, trying to get fair trade soaps to use in the shower. This one did not fit the bill. For one, castile soap may have many uses, but it has low efficacy in the shower if you like a good lather. Plus, this peppermint one smelled STRONG (which is usually true when you get peppermint, but still). I ended up passing on it, mainly because it just wasnt working and it had weird, heretical things written on the bottle about Jesus. I looked it up, and its just transcripts of the crazy religion that Dr. Bronner was trying to spread when he was alive. But he claims that Jesus learned everything from a Rabbi Hillel, so if you love Jesus, just know that this is written all over the Bronner bottles.

> 3 dayI wish I liked this product more but I wont buy it again. I used it mainly for cleaning dishes and pots and it seemed to always leave a filmy residue on them. The smell is pretty over powering if youre sensitive to smells. It also doesnt suds up at all. That might not be important but I dont have the confidence that its doing a good job cleaning.
