Really opaque but like any paint you have to give it a good shake if you haven’t used it in a while

Very strong, opaque white. Great quality. Just what I was looking for. It delivered on it’s promise and I will be using it again. A good quality white gouache will also do the same thing but will be a little more transparent. You should but this product if you’re looking for a good strong white.

I have used this ink for several years when addressing dark colored envelopes or when painting watercolor designs on dark paper. You can tint it by adding bit of color to make lovely opaque pastel ink, etc. The ink is opaque enough to correct small errors on white paper and is a favorite of calligraphers. I also used it for whiskers on a watercolor painting of my cat. There are many creative uses for this ink. It is thick, so you will want to transfer a small amount to a separate container. I dilute it with distilled water and it stays fresh for long periods of time.

Lots of packaging for such a little bottle. Either than that, this bleedproof, white is great! Very opaque and goes down easy.

I purchased this ink for my dip pens and it is an opaque true white that dries with a smooth, elevated texture. It was well packaged and doubled-wrapped in two bubble wrap bags and shipped within a returnable Amazon bag. The ink is thicker than modpodge and has pieces of what looks like curdled milk or dried Elmers glue. However, when I thoroughly mixed it with the handle of a plastic spork, the clumps quickly dissolved. By itself, it is to thick to use on calligraphy nibs, so I progressively added water to the top layer and continuously mixed until I achieved the perfect viscosity. I have only used this ink with my blue pumpkin nibs and assume it will also work well with my Hunt 101 and Hunt 513 nibs when watered down. The ink dries quickly within the container, which is a good thing in terms of the added water because it will quickly evaporate, but a bad thing in regards to the duration of the ink, so I suggest keeping it tightly closed when not in use and ALWAYS cleaning the mouth of the container and lid before storage. Its actual drying time on paper is very slow, but its worth the waiting time because the white pops against colored paper and looks like an off-white creme colour on white paper.

Love this product! Im a hand letterer and calligrapher. This is my go-to choice for white ink! Works well with a brush and water or pointed pen. Needs to be watered down to work effectively, but is easy to manipulate and can be super opaque!
