showed up half dry and goopy. had to trash it.

Yes, good coverage, but its very gooey, thus difficult to get an even coat when applied with a brush. Also, it clogs my dip pen. However, the main complaint I have about this product is that its not bleed proof. I used it in an art journal page. I applied gesso to the back of the page containing the bleed proof artwork. The moisture from the gesso caused the bleed proof white to dissolve and bleed onto the page it faced, totally destroying the artwork. Not happy.

I use it for a white in my watercolors. Haven’t mixed it with my colors just as white over my dried water color. Has worked very good

I got Dr. Ph Martins Bleed Proof White for watercolor painting rather than gouache and it works great for things like birch trees, snow, clouds, and so on. It is much thicker than the watercolor paints but I use things like a straight razor dipped into a small amount of it straight and scrape it onto the paper. Works great!

I tried to use the ink on acrylic material and it doesnt work well at all. You have to add water with it because it is very thick. It doest nt worth spending money on this product. After I let the ink dry, there are a few parts came off from the surface and it is not smooth. Very disappointed!

I bought this because of other peoples recommendations when I asked for an opaque white ink to cover up inking mistakes. It should go without saying that youd need to redraw whatever it is you messed up, but apparently not. If you need it for that purpose, forget it. Drawing over this is virtually impossible. Its like it sucked the souls out of all of my inking pens and brushes. Im sure its good for highlights or writing on black paper or something, but forget about it if you may need to cover it in any way (including if you make a mistake in white...) It also dries insanely quickly, to the point where the lip of the jar would be covered in crusted ink if I had it open for a few minutes while using it. I guess it depends on what you need it for. FWIW it didnt bleed into my inks like other paints and inks have done so thats a plus at least. Too bad it doesnt work with my purposes. It was also much cheaper on other websites.

Im a casual calligrapher and I often use this in my pointed pen work. And Ive also used this for brush lettering. This would be even useful for adding back in the highlights in watercolor or mixed media work. What I do is scoop out some of the thick paint and place it on my ceramic palette. I add a little water until its just thin enough to flow smoothly (Ive come to be able to eyeball it now). I load my nib with this by dipping a filbert brush into the paint and water mixture and pressing it against the reservoir on my nip. I test the flow on a scrap piece of paper to ensure a good balance of flow and opacity. This product can be watered down for a less than opaque look, as well. It is like a gouache so be aware that it can reactivate if it got wet even after it dried. If that bothers you, Id try Holbein acryla gouache instead (also works great with dip pens). This is a versatile product and Im sure you could find a great use for it but it you already have a white gouache you love, this may not be necessary.

Pain to have to constantly thin the ink to use it. Pain in the bum
