> 3 dayI love the Dragon NaturallySpeaking system. I am in college currently working on a graduate degree and use my Dragon quite often. My only complaint so far would be that it does not play well with the reference section on Microsoft word. And sometimes does not play well with Microsoft office but, these occurrences are not frequent. I would recommend Dragon anyone who has a lot of typing to do.

> 3 dayI have been using Dragon for 20 years. I would be without it – because I have had issues with carpal tunnel in both of my hands. I use it excessively for emails in Outlook, word documents and occasionally in Excel. It is wonderfully accurate – and the correction mechanisms are extremely good. I ordered this version because I have a Windows 7 PC – and this was the most compatible version that was made at the time. It works really well with outlook. The only issue that I have it occasionally hangs up. I then have to shut it down and start all over. But this has been an issue with Dragon since I first started using it many many years ago.

> 3 daythis is harder to use than they lead you to believe on the TV ads. I find it doesnt work great for most of the programs I use. it seems okay for just dictating.I find it a little slow, and end up using the mouse for most commands. I think as I learn the voice commands it will get faster for me, but not for the program.

> 3 daygreat product, no complaints works well for what i am after. dictation works much better than transcriptions (more accurate), so be prepared to do more proof reading and rewriting when transcribing audio, but it does the job. one tip is to specify shipping address that is open after you get off work. i work mon to fri 8 to 5. they ship from 8 to 7 pm.

> 3 dayI am a writer who was looking for a way to write another novel without getting typers cramp. My novels are running roughly 180,000 words so anything I can do to tighten that up is only good. I am not using it for its intended purpose yet; however, I still believe it can do it. It will not do it right out of the box. That I know. You first train it to respond to you. That takes a few days anyway. My other problems were two-fold: First, finding the right headset. I use an Andrea now and I am glad I found them. The set that came with the Dragon software is not good. It picked up something like 1 in 3 words I said. I have no idea why, but it was pretty bad. The other problem is this: When I am dictating, I can manage 2-3 sentences before I pause to think further about what I want to say. For it to really save time, you have to know what you want to say and how you want to say it. In my own case, I was using the time it took to type to think about what to say next. This is SO fast, I couldnt do that. So I first build a story structure/outline to follow as I dictate. That does make it a LOT easier. Long story short, I think it WILL BE great. I need to get used to it and it needs to get used to me. It is not an instant solution, but for anyone wanting speed or needing it to deal with a life challenge AND you can deal with a learning curve, this could be the answer to your prayers.

> 3 dayIm not sure Im any more impressed with this version than I was with earlier versions. Yes the speech recognition is better than version 2-10, but its still not the greatest thing since sliced bread. Great for creating the initial draft but I found that editing commands were frequently ignored or interpreted as additional text. Menu commands dont work at all with Open Office. Its useful, but not the works great, cant live without it product of the advertisements.

Greater than one weekThe software is good, but I have to do a lot of correcting. The problem I guess is my computer does not have four gig ram memory, but I will probably either upgrade my computer or get me a new one. But as far as the software is fantastic. If you get the software remember you will get more out of it the more you train it. And make sure that your computer has the required system requirements. As far as using it on the Internet to check e-mail I will have to give it a thumbs down I have fooled with it and dont seem to get anywhere.I would recommend it to others that are one finger typist as I am. Hope this helps you in making your decision on buying or not buying the product. Have fun typing, good day. This

Greater than one weekAfter researching which version of Dragon for my teenage son to use, we chose Version 11 (Old Version) and are very happy with it. It isnt perfect all the time, but its paired up well with the Plantronics 628 Stereo USB headset with noise-canceling microphone and works fine for his school work. It develops more accuracy with use, so as it learns to follow the users voice, it continues to improve. I wish that we had purchased Dragon sooner.

> 3 dayI have been using the Dragon software since its first version. Accuracy has improved dramatically. However, one still needs to complete the training and correct errors in order to improve recognition. The ability to launch programs using the microphone and perform other tasks like search the Internet are handy, but the dictation feature is undoubtedly the raison dêtre of this software. I had been dictating this review and used the phrase raison dêtre for the first time and the program got it right. I wish that I had had this program and todays computing power when I was practicing law. I know it would have increased my work productivity and relieved me of my poor typing skills.

> 3 day11.5 is the best version there is. v.12 is a mess and I never trust brand new software (v.13). Im an AT practitioner and train approximately 25 clients a year on Dragon. The only drawback is Win 8 and 10. It does not work well on 8 and I dont think is compatible with 10 at all. It is hard to find this version so I usually order more than one at once.
