Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

I purchased Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cordless Vacuum as a birthday gift for my 79yr old mother. She admitted that she was not able to vacuum more than a few times a month because the effort of using her old vacuum wiped her out. Yeah, who gives a vacuum for a present? Well her reviews are in! Best birthday present ever. She says it easily vacuums the hair of her two cats, handles her old shag rug without jamming, and is easy and lightweight enough that she is using it every few days. Battery time is plenty long enough to cover the main portions of her 3 bedroom house and she also noted that it is BEAUTIFUL! I was concerned she wouldnt like the bag-less design, as she had a bag-less vacuum before and hated it. In this case, the ease of ejecting the contents over the garbage has been completely fine.

I love it! I have two under fifteen pounds poodle mix fur babies so hardly any shedding. But I live off an unpaved road so the dust is neverending and this is a huge life saver.

This vacuum is POWERFUL. Love the battery life and the 3 power levels. We have hardwood on the main level and carpet upstairs. I feel like this vac, on the highest setting, sucks up just as much as our corded Shark Professional vac that we keep upstairs for the carpet. Please note that the motorbar cleaner head it comes with can scratch hardwoods, so its recommended to get the soft roller head attachment if you will be using it on hardwoods.

This is my second cordless vacuum I have ever owned - the first one being an INSE which is much cheaper but had good reviews. However, today was the first time I have ever tried using a Dyson and I am blown away with what I have been missing! This has strong suction and when I put it on the strongest setting, I swear I’m being sucked into the carpet. I haven’t even used it on a full charge yet but in the short amount of time I have tried this, I was so impressed I had to quickly write a review (though I will update if I need to later on). I’m looking forward to trying out the special hair/upholstery attachment because im two months postpartum and the hair loss is definitely beginning. Really impressed by this Dyson and kicking myself in the butt for not getting one sooner

It really is a good handy vacum, BUT its all plastic and they break and replacements are very expensive, I had three places break, and again very expensive

I purchased my Dyson V10 Animal from Amazon on April 23 then on June 5 (1 1/2 months), the battery died. Ordered another battery ($60) from Amazon and it works. Called Amazon and they said “Sorry we cannot honor the return or provide a new battery or give me credit for the replacement battery because it was out of our window…1 month)”. I called Dyson and they won’t warranty because I bought it from Amazon. I did purchase the extended warranty since I read reviews that said it was a good buy BUT I’m out of luck until my Dyson is 2 years old! Not happy and I’m so upset with Amazon! I spend A LOT of money with them!!! I love my Dyson, it works great so I give it 5 stars!

I have tried multiple hand helds, and this one is absolutely the winner. It is so versatile, and not too heavy. The open and close latch is tight, and sometimes it feels like you are going to break it, but on my shark it isnt tight and reduces the suction. I especially like the wall attachment that it comes with. I would definitely recommend this.
