Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

The power is so strong that it is hard to believe it is a cordless vacuum cleaner. I cleaned a carpet that looked clean with this product and it removed a scary amount of dust. The battery life is a little low in the strongest mode.

Several years ago I was so excited to get my first Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner. Fast forward maybe six months later and I went to use it and it was trashed. My darling husband had come to the brilliant decision to use it to vacuum up after a drywall job. Hes not lived that one down but Im happy to have this vacuum now. What I like about it...strong suction power and how well it maneuvers and gets under furniture. We have dogs and it works well on our hardwood floors and rugs. Solid build quality, easy to empty, good battery life. What I dont like about it...doesnt stand up on its own, no on button (have to keep holding it down to vacuum). No printed manual (says to reduce environmental impact theyve moved it online.

This product is indeed superior as you can see numerous good comments. One thing that impressed me the most is the hair removal vanes. I attached a photo for your reference. I have been using this vacuum cleaner daily for several weeks. As you can see in the photo, you can hardly find a single string of hair in the vacuum head. It is purely amazing! I still dont fully understand this technology, but it works so perfectly. With these hair removal vanes, this powerful vacuum cleaner has became even better!

Ordered the V10 animal, received the V10 allergy. Apparently the vacuum is the same but the attachments are different. Asked for the attachments to be sent to me, Dyson said they couldn’t. They offered me $30 credit. I saw the two attachments missing were $75 on the Dyson website so asked for that much credited so I could order them. They counter offered with 0 refund and a sarcastic reply. So I paid for the Dyson Animal vacuum and didn’t get a credit or the product ordered. Good luck with this company. The vacuum itself works decent.

I expected more from the name Dyson this doesnt have anymore of a powerful suck than any of the other vacuum cleaners I have owned over the years. The battery life is not great and the biggest design flaw is in its inability to stand up on its own. Sometimes you need to pick up something to avoid vacuuming it up and you cannot simply put the vacuum down-you have to prop or lean it against something and it often just crashes to the floor. Overall for the price, I recommend exploring other options.

This has the most suction and is incredibly light and easy to use. You won’t regret this purchase!

I love it! I have two under fifteen pounds poodle mix fur babies so hardly any shedding. But I live off an unpaved road so the dust is neverending and this is a huge life saver.

I purchased my Dyson V10 Animal from Amazon on April 23 then on June 5 (1 1/2 months), the battery died. Ordered another battery ($60) from Amazon and it works. Called Amazon and they said “Sorry we cannot honor the return or provide a new battery or give me credit for the replacement battery because it was out of our window…1 month)”. I called Dyson and they won’t warranty because I bought it from Amazon. I did purchase the extended warranty since I read reviews that said it was a good buy BUT I’m out of luck until my Dyson is 2 years old! Not happy and I’m so upset with Amazon! I spend A LOT of money with them!!! I love my Dyson, it works great so I give it 5 stars!

Battery lasts 5 minutes or less. I’ve reached out to Dyson customer support through their preferred channel which is email and it’s been 3 weeks with no reply. Do not buy this vacuum

We previously had a Dyson V8 that developed battery issues. We loved the V8 for the 4 years that we used it - after the battery died, I tried an off brand battery that only lasted a few months. I was hesitant to get another Dyson - I bought and subsequently returned a Sharp (awkward balance, cheap attachments). So glad we then bought the V10 - what a difference! Smooth operation, improved battery life (or at least that’s the claim - too early to tell), pet hair pickup is amazing and quality attachments. After being reminded what quality products Dyson provides I’m going to try to repurpose the V8 in the basement using a Dyson battery.
