I have several styles of the Empire registers and like the more ornate ones. This ones looks so good. Its not too busy if you are afraid of that. The coloring is just right and the air flows through nicely. It fits perfectly. It is a medium weight.I have tried others in a heavier weight in this same price point.Thats the only reason I dinged off half a star. Its pretty and does a great job but is a little pricey.

These vent covers are very sturdy and stylish. We ordered the brushed nickel finish and it looks great with our new carpet. Will order more for the rest of the house.

Ordered these floor registers on-line. The FIRST time I measured a living room vent and when I got the registers, I realized that the size of the bedroom registers were smaller than the living room ones. I contacted the seller and sent back 3 of the 5 purchased; then I purchased 3 of the correct size. The swap was seamless and trouble-free - no extra costs or restocking fees. The new registers arrived and look great with our new floor. I have walked on them and so have the dogs... so far they wok great. The mechanism is very simple - slide one way to open and another to close. Very easy to install... just drop in t the slot. Will order from the Empire register company again.

I like geometric designs for floor registers. This ones got a really interesting look. You can see the one Im replacing in the photos I posted. I like that design as well. But that one rusted like crazy in just a couple years. Now granted, that location is in a bathroom. But Im still disappointed in the amount of rust and how fast is rusted. I hope the lacquer coating on this one holds up better. The old register also had all plastic fins. And the damper mechanism was all plastic. It was also designed in a way that suppressed air flow. This new register seems to be a clear upgrade in all those areas... metals damper fins and mechanism, plus a wide open airflow. Its also very easy to make adjustments. It fit my opening very easily but slightly snug, which is perfect. It sits flat on all four sides with no rocking. Packaging was really good so it arrived in pristine condition. The brushed nickel finish matches perfectly with our other fixtures. Overall, Im super-happy with this new register. Love the geometric design. Seems really well made with good quality materials and finishes. Well-designed damper mechanism, good air flow, and super-simple to install. Price-point is a bit high compared to alternative products. But based on the obvious quality, its definitely worth a few extra bucks. I just hope the protective lacquer coating stands up to the moisture and traffic in the bathroom, which is where other registers have failed.

A vent cover is just something that you use to cover the vent holes in your floor. There are some that are rather flimsy. These are nothing like that. Theyre heavy duty and sturdier than anything Ive ever had in my house. The nickel finish is beautiful. Empire Register has enough various designs on their vent covers that youll be able to find one that matches your style.

The vents arrived in a timely manner and went right into place. The sizes were spot on. The metal feels sturdy, and they finish is nice and even between the multiple products we ordered. The mechanism to open and close the vent functions as it should and is not too loose as to have the vent close unintentionally.
