Greater than one weekI bought the epson 3800 renewed from Amazon and I could not focus the projector whatsoever. Focus uniformity across the four quadrants was horrible. I doubt I’ll pursue another electronics purchase from Amazon. A huge waste of time.

> 3 dayHeavy (compare with Optoma UHD-50X), I dont feel very comfortable sitting under it. Kind of noisy (compare with Optoma UHD-50X) Picture is sharp in the middle but blurry on the sides. The BIGGEST problem is, it doesnt work with the 50ft HDMI 2.0 cable I laid behind the wall and ceiling! I tried many different computers and a SONY Blu-ray disk player, NO SIGNAL! It only worked with a Acer Laptop computer. VERY FRUSTRATED! Finally, I got the Optoma UHD-50X, it worked right the way! And the Optoma is so much lighter, quieter, image is sharp everywhere! I can finally relaxed and enjoyed the big screen. Compare with the UHD-50X, This projector looks better, and the quick corner function is so much easier to adjust the screen.

> 3 dayUnit was well packaged and no damage to the shipping box. When I set it up the focus ring would not turn to adjust the focus. The zoom ring turned fine and zoomed in and out. Shifting the image up and down and side to side with the turn knobs worked. I called Epson tech support and got someone right away. They talked with me a few munities and said it was a hardware issue and return it.

Greater than one weekThis works really well. Easy to setup and use. Excellent picture. Brightness is really good. Kind of pricey but for the quality it’s worth it.

Greater than one weekI have a dedicated home theater room with a 120 inch screen, surround sound, etc. I had a Panasonic projector that did OK for a number of years but its now about 8 years old and I was getting more and more disappointed with the image quality even though its a 1080 projector. My problem was that Id see something on my LG OLED and the Panasonic didnt come close. Theres also the fact that it was getting old and I wanted a better picture. Ive waited and waited for better projectors to hit the market. I wanted 4K but the prices were prohibitive. But, manufacturers started selling sorta 4K (my term) with HDR. So, I jumped in with this one. Setup was incredibly simple. I plugged in my HDMI cable, plugged in the power, turned it on and voila - it worked. I had to mess with it for a bit for my screen size and I had to dial down the color mode. The factory preset was dynamic which would probably be great for a bright family room but in my blacked out theater room - not so much. On that subject. There are four color mode presets - dynamic, bright cinema, natural, and cinema. You can change settings within each of these and you can save those changes. I have mine hanging from the ceiling and was able to adjust everything so the picture was straight on the screen. I dont use the speakers but I did give them a try so I could see what they were like. Theyre pretty average stereo speakers that do an OK job. If I was using this now and then in a family room or at work Id be happy with the sound but I prefer my 7.2 home theater setup. With 3000 lumens and 100,000:1 contrast ratio youd expect a great picture and you wouldnt be wrong. Like I said before, I had to dial the brightness down for my home theater but its nice to have it if I ever need it. I purposely watched the same movie (Avatar) back to back with my old Panasonic and then the Epson. No contest. The Epson was significantly sharper and brighter (in a good way) than my old 1080 projector. After movies, I fired up the XBox and played some games. I dont have any 4K games but the games I do have were much crisper than they were with the Panasonic. Ive tweaked a few settings since I got comfortable with this projector mostly because I could. Other than the color mode (brightness) it was really OK out of the box. Is it better than my 1080 projector? Heck yes. Is it better than my LG 65 inch OLED? No but its a heck of a lot closer than before.

> 3 dayThis projector is bright. I did not notice color issues or bluish tint when using dynamic. HDR looked good. The lens on this projector is a problem. When fully zoomed out, there is a clear difference in the focus. You are not able to focus the entire picture. If you have text on a screen at the top and bottom and middle, you have to pick two of them to be perfect and one to be slightly blurred. Or you can make them all a little off. This was reproduced at a zoomed in level, but not as noticeable. The fan on this is loud. Unless you are in ECO mode, medium and high power consumption is annoyingly loud. High is unbearable unless you have a party.

> 3 dayPurchased this projector To replace an older JVC model. Projector throw and keystone Our video room has a 106” diagonal screen and the dimensions required a projector with a 16ft throw. This projector advertised a 2.14 throw ratio and performed as expected for our application (16ft distance to screen) Very good screen brightness is achieved (outperforming the replaced JVC) using standard brightness setting The keystone adjustment is easy to use and allows picture to screen alignment with no visible distortion.( ideally projector needs to be positioned to minimize keystone adjustment Manual focus and zoom setting is easy to set and appears to stay on adjustment. However, remote set-up for focus, zoom and keystone Would be and outstanding addition to this projector. Noise level is noticeable acceptable in our application Overall picture quality is excellent at 1080p, not yet tested at 4K. Great value for the price.

> 3 dayI tried many others but finally settled on this, little pricey but thats worth spending. Picture quality is much better than DLP ones like ViewSoinc or Optoma.

> 3 dayThis is a TERRIFIC projector. Im a trial lawyer, and I bought it to display documents to the jury on a screen at trial. The old projector made it hard to tell whether someone had initialed a document or not. This one, by contrast, made the evidence clear and convincing, as we say in my line of work. Youll love it. You will also need to figure out some way to carry it around, because it is a big mother, but worth the heft.

> 3 dayWe upgraded to this project. The color and picture and brightness is so much nicer, you get what you pay for and this is a very nice projector. The remote controls other items to play videos which is another nice feature.
