Review is based use for our DOG. please note this is not a review for HUMAN use. Purchased out of the need to contain a medium size post-surgery dog for 2+ months. Though any plastic gate is inherently fugly, this one is less so by virtue of not being multicolored. The off-white color is as pictured and the gate design somehow feels less industrial than some Ive used as baby (not pet) corrals in the past. Maybe Im just used to looking at it, but it doesnt stand out as much as some of the gates Ive seen. Added the 2 panel extender so that we had the needed 6x6 space in any configuration so Dog in Cone of Shame could take a few steps without bashing into the gate. Worth the money to buy as a set, as purchasing the 2 panel extender separately was more expensive than if Id added it to the cart with the original purchase. Food for thought. Dog is not the type to rear up, shove, claw, chew, or otherwise bust through a barricade. So I cant speak to durability in that regard. However it has held up to heavy daily use. Each individual section has a brown push button at the top, that allows you to open that section to swing like a door. It is really handy to have this on every section so no matter how it is positioned, we can easily help our dog (whos also enjoying wearing a Cone of Shame in addition to doggie isolation) stumble through any section to get out for a potty break. Now that dog is allowed a little more space, weve also taken sections apart to use as a doorway barricade which I find really handy. The gate is the slightest bit flimsy-as in, I dont know that this would stand up to an aggrieved 18 month old or a more determined pet. One thing I would note if youre considering it for human use is that the gate patterns are a diamond shape. I wonder if little fingers and toes would find this pinchy as they attempted escape. Pic attached shows just how lovely your home could be if you have a dog with a Cone of Shame AND a baby gate! Lucky you!

When my son was a baby we bought this play yard to contain him when he started crawling and we need to put him down somewhere to play while making his lunch, letting the dog out, etc. Then we bought a 2nd one to go around the Christmas tree. Now that he’s a toddler and running everywhere, we use it around the tv stand (and also still around the tree during Christmas) so he can’t get into the tv stand or get at the tv. This play yard has been great! Even my in-laws bought one to block off the tv at their house when they’re babysitting.

This gate allowed me to shape and shift it to my toddlers needs. We used it when she was crawling to keep her in a safe areas and now it’s kept open to allow her to play with out climbing out books shelf. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased this as a multipurpose item and am using it mostly to keep my young puppy contained. It works great as a playpen but is horrible as a solution to block off my extremely wide doorways. Both my niece and the puppy quickly learned to get through by pushing the folded gate and if it’s left straight instead of accordion style it’s easily knocked over with a couple pushes. I would echo other reviews that state this is built like a ladder. My puppy has learned how to climb the gate in less than two weeks so I can only use it to keep him contained when I’m nearby and he’s content being contained. Despite these frustrations, I realize it’s less a product flaw and more just a result of curiosity. It’s still worth the money to me as it works for kiddos and pups and has made it easier to keep either the puppy or my niece contained (although separately of course).

We bought 2 of these sets for our Golden Retriever puppy. They are lightweight and very easy to configure in various shapes. When she was little, she couldnt knock them down, and now that she is over a year and weighs 62 pounds, she doesnt know she could knock them down, so they still work! We moved them around as needed to keep her confined which allowed us time to concentrate on other things (like dinner and desk work). We dont use them as much now that she is housebroken, but we have a few panels up to separate her from the cat or visitors who arent dog lovers. They were a great purchase!

We have a small house so having something that we can assemble and disassemble quickly and store compactly is important for us, and this playpen fits the bill. We originally bought six panels and love how we were able to buy an extra two panels to adjust the size. That was a huge plus. I appreciate how the panels easily move around the hinges. We borrowed a similar Toddleroo playpen once, and it was SO hard to unfold the panels. We got the gray and like how it doesnt look garish in the living room. One con is that its definitely not a one-handed operation to open a panel like a fence. Its honestly just faster to step over it, though I worry about my parents falling while doing this. Its also not the most sturdy, but thats the tradeoff you make to have something light weight. You absolutely have to have it in an octagonal shape instead of a rectangle for it to not collapse when your baby pulls up on it to stand. Luckily we havent had any accidents yet. If Evenflo could put a gate on one of the panels, this would awesome.

I love this thing its easy to use and put away but the drawback is pets and my bunny thinks this is a chewing post. otherwise if its for a dog or cat you should be okay and would definitely recommend

I love a lot of things about this product. 1. the price! 2. it is able to be used as a closed hexagon or opened up as a wall 3. easy to clean (could use it outside) 4. the neutral color options make it blend in with our living room 5. the additional pieces that can be purchased if you want to make it bigger 6. folds and opens very easily We use this opened up as a wall to enclose a play space. Keep it slightly folded while open (like an accordion/zig-zag) and it is pretty sturdy on its own.

I got this to toddler proof our Christmas tree. I was worried it was going to be ugly, but it really isn’t at all! I was also worried my toddler would push or pull on it and they would both fall over, but it’s super sturdy. It is really long so we can use it to keep him corralled in certain areas of the house or yard and you can very easily open and close the gate from any of the connections, or remove a segment, which is really great! We are ordering one more to keep our dogs in the side yard so they can’t run and bark at everything in the back and front yards and we won’t have to spend a ton of money and build a permanent fence. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE!

I ordered this in grey first, it was useful. I had my play mat underneath it. But my son at 10 months old quickly learned he could push it across the room while inside of it. So we stopped using it for a play area. Now we have a fire place that is not in use- needs to be replaced this year. So we opened this gate to go across the fireplace to keep him out of it. He once again learned that it moves and he can get behind it. He also tries to climb it half way. My son is almost 12 months old and cant walk. So we had to drill and screw this gate into the wall so he cant move it. We just ordered another gate (in white since price was $20 cheaper) to block another space in the playroom. We will also have to drill this into the wall too. Its a temporary fix and not a great one but will hold us over until we can get the room where we want and need it to be. I will also be trying to use this playpen as a ball bit for his first birthday, I know kids will move it all over the room since it cant stay put or be locked into place but its worth a try right now. This gate is working for us right now but I do not recommend this to friends or moms in my mom groups.
