See my photo comparison. I bought 2 different brands of watercolor pencils with the intention of giving one set as a gift. Ive loved Primas watercolor sets in the past and thought Id try their pencils and compare them to Faber Casells Albrecht Dürer set. All of the colors in the Faber set are perfect but I did not test the white. Pigmentation is rich and they accept water easily without a lot of work. Very happy.

Great watercolor pencils! I purchased these as a present for someone who paints watercolors and he loved them. The pigments are completely water soluble - much better than my Prismacolor watercolor pencils.

I received this product sealed in the plastic, however when I opened it, the end of the pencils have scratch. The color pencils are highly pigmented. I used it directly to color a drawing, then used a waterbrush to make the water color effects. When I wanted a brighter shade, I would simply brush on the tip of the pencil, then paint on the paper. I love this watercolor pencils.

UPDATE 02.24.2016: In love with these pencils. Wish Id bought the tin with 36 or higher for more color options. Blends well. Careful, it dries fairly quickly but can be re-worked after. Im currently using 200-lb Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colour Paper. See 3rd pic. High quality. Smooth. Great pigmentation. I love drawing and water painting and these are perfect to try.
