> 24 hourSolid construction. Cant go wrong with a WD Black SN750 wrapped in a solid well built aluminum case. Fast! Comes very close to its claimed speed of up to 2800 mbps. If you have a Thunderbolt 3 port pay the extra $100 or so more. Its so worth it. Had a WD My Passport SSD and it couldnt even come close to its advertised speed of 1050 mbps.

> 24 hourMany years ago, I was an assistant editor on a mid-budget Hollywood film. Since digital, non-linear editing was still a new thing, our studio had assigned a special technician to the show, to answer our many questions and to generally keep us happy. Our tech made a comment once, while exchanging removable 100GB units from within our custom-built drive tower (these units were the size of small watermelons and weighed about 20lbs each!) He said that one day — in the *future* — wed be able to hold *1TB* drives in the palms of our hands, and that theyd be the *size of credit cards* The eXtreme Im now holding is actually 2TB, and its read/write speeds are surreal. This futuristic object plugs in like a line jack into a console, and exchanges data at rates not seen in systems costing less than $5,000. Im blown away by its utility, and have no complaint whatever about its use. This is a device from the future we were all promised, which will be useful far into our own future, as well…

> 24 hourI needed an external drive for my mac mini (which only came with 256 gig, it was an emergency buy). This one feels as if it is an internal drive. I had trouble with stability with other external SSD drives. This one works great, also when doing heavier stuff with final cut where even for very small projects hundreds of gig are required. I only use it for a day now (including video editing for a night) but it is a relief to be on a stable harddrive.

> 24 hourI have set up my 2019 iMac (w Fusion Drive) to boot from the Thunderbolt 3 Fantom Drive externally. This was easy and does everything I hoped for. BlackMagic Disk Speed test reports 2350 MB/sec write (faster than competitors advertise for their up to speeds) and 2570 MB/sec read. Not running hot. I was reticent to buy from a non-major brand but so far couldnt be happier.

> 24 hourI’m a sports photographer and having a fast external hard drive is essential. I’ve been using this one for about 2 months and cannot express to you adequately how much faster it is than the other SSD’s I’ve tried. No glitches or hangups. I’ve super happy with this drive and just ordered a 2nd.

> 24 hourCompré este disco (SSD) para usarlo como disco de arranque en un iMac late 2019 que viene de fábrica con un HD y es sumamente lento. La instalación del OS en el disco es simple y fácil de hacer y funciona muy bien, sin duda lo recomiendo a todos los que compraron una máquina como la mía y que han padecido por no poder cambiar el HD interno por un SSD. Saludos

> 24 hourThese are good drives when someone doesn’t swap out the SSD from inside. Received the drive. No issues same speed but found out weeks after receiving that the SSD was swapped out inside for another manufacturers drive. Guess that’s what you get when the drive goes unexpectedly on sale.

> 24 hourI am not one to give bad reviews normally... But I bought two drives from Fantom. A 2Tb and a 4TB. I have had NO problem with the 2TB drive but am having issues with the 4TB drive. It keeps disconnecting from my Mac and sometimes even my restarts my computer. I contacted Fantom and they said it was approved for replacement. There was some delay due to them moving buildings, so it took longer than anticipated. That wasnt a big issue. The bigger issue is that they said they couldnt duplicate the issue. We went back and forth a few times, through email, and they said that it was approved for replacement anyway. When I got it back, it was formatted APFS Case Sensitive, which is fine but this was not the way it was formatted from the factory. I did this when I bought the drive. I also called the drive FD. This drive was also called FD. (I cannot recall what it was called brand new for either of my two drives). Im convinced that this was not replaced and they sent me the same one back mainly because Im seeing the same issues I had with the one I sent back for replacement within 24 hours of using the drive. I have 4 other drives connected to this computer and dont have any issues. Even when I sent the 4TB Fantom back for replacement, I connected my 2TB Fantom and it had been working flawless. Once the 4TB came back, I disconnected the 2TB and put the 4TB in its place. I have, once again, responded back to the email to see if they will really replace this time. I will update this review accordingly once I get the response back.
