> 24 hourI received an opened, damaged box with 1 screw missing. All in all, it could have turned out worse. It isnt like there was anything wrong with the other 49 screws and I suppose Im lucky it came with the required and proprietary bit, but I was probably one shake away from receiving an envelope bag of screws instead of a box of them

> 24 hourThese are hard to find at our local hardware or Home Depot and when I can get them they charge premium price, so this is a great deal for me. I use them for barns, out buildings, fencing and other general projects around the farm. Using the HeadLock fastners ensure that what we build stand up to the abuse of the elements and animals. They pull warped boards together without going in deep like the smaller heads do. These have been the best damn screws we have found.

> 24 hourVery manly fastener, I probably spent $1000 on fasteners of various types for my dock and deck. These may seem pricey but Im hoping they last forever. The box states that they outperform 3/8 Lag screws and I believe they would. However, I did not notice that they should not be used within 1000 of saltwater.

> 24 hourIf you work on big boy projects, sometimes you need big boy parts, and these screws are the real deal. Bought my initial pack at Lowes as I was working on my deck.I went back when I ran out, and, of course, found out they were out of stock. When I turned to the clerk behind the Pro Service Desk for help, his reply (and I kid you not) was, Cant Help Ya Buddy and sat back down. And, big box stores wonder why people shop online. So, we ordered the screws online. They are made in the USA, and if you are needing to brace some 6 x 6 or other large deck lumber, these are going to save you time and money. I also use them on the ledger boards because they screw in flush to the board, and I can put my joist hangers over the screw if necessary. I like the fact they are thin, so they dont crack the boards, but have the strength of larger screws. And, I buy USA where I can.

> 24 hourWeve used a lot of different fasteners to hold deck framing together, and these are hands down the best so far. We drill a pilot slightly smaller and the same depth as the the smooth shank, then drive them with a cordless impact gun until they are flush. They are great a pulling and holding slightly warped framing lumber into line.

> 24 hourUsed these to screw together landscape timbers for raised garden beds. Used a small pilot hole and they went in like butter - excellent fasteners.

> 24 hourTotally happy with these. Pros: the included spider bit works great driving these fasteners into redwood, pine and cedar. No experience with hardwoods. Depending on the wood itself (adjacent knots, etc), these will counter-sink themselves without stripping, leaving a flush finish. Much nice than the traditional hex-head timber lox. These have a wider diameter head, so they hold very well. Cons: none. Application -- building a pergola from recycled redwood planks.
