The fact that it doesnt have 1/16 marks (which just cause clutter for my purposes), its clear which makes lining up a straight cut very easy, and there are measurements along the 3 top and bottom edge as well, make this an efficiency machine. Its thick acrylic so I expect it will last until I buy a new one for some reason, or accidentally run this one over with the car.

> 24 hourI used these in my boat canvas shop until I closed the shop. I likes the way they worked so much that I keep them available in my home workshop. Great for use in sewing projects, marking seam allowances and stuff. But also great for wood or metal working projects. Just about anyting that need an accurate measurement. Although they have a small amount of flex, they are pretty ridgid.

> 24 hourI really like this ruler as it helps me cut super straight on my cutting mat using a rotary cutter. I previously only had a 12 inch ruler and would have to move it for cuts longer than 12 inches. Now I dont and the numerous lines on the ruler help me align it with my cutting mat for very precise cuts.

> 24 hourI used to cut quilt blocks out with my cutter on the mat using a ruler -- NOT ANY MORE! This square 8 1/2 ruler sped things up so much when I was making a cathedral window style crazy quilt (which was labor intensive) and I will find or adapt patterns to use the 8 finished blocks and use this whenever possible. I love this square ruler, its my new favorite gadget for sure.

> 24 hourThe suction cups dont stick well unless you wet them, then they do stick well. However, the suction cup holder is a tad flimsy so not sure how long it will last. Otherwise, the ruler markings are easy to read and it is very helpful to have a longer ruler when its needed.
