> 3 dayperfect size for measuring fabric strips. the colored half inch mark is easy to see. Plastic is a little thinner than expected, so I hope it will hold up for years to come.

> 3 dayI have used this brand this style for years in years. Mine was so brittle that it cracked many times. I ordered one this one from Amazon, then found one at Joann fabrics. The one at Joannes was cheaper because of sale but the same. The biggest problem with this new Layout is it is very difficult to see the precise line to many colors, thick lines. However it is not the seller it is Fisker the company that produces the rulers. So to the seller sorry for the three stars,

> 3 dayI used these in my boat canvas shop until I closed the shop. I likes the way they worked so much that I keep them available in my home workshop. Great for use in sewing projects, marking seam allowances and stuff. But also great for wood or metal working projects. Just about anyting that need an accurate measurement. Although they have a small amount of flex, they are pretty ridgid.

> 3 dayI have long used the earlier version of this Fiskars 8.5x8.5 ruler. It helps me to make very precise fabric cuts. After long use, the black lines on the ruler begin to wear off. For $10, replacing this ruler every 5 years is fine. However. The new version of this Fiskars 8.5x8.5 ruler has white protective lines on the bottom surface that obscure the fabric laying under the black inch mark lines, meaning that cuts are less precise with the newer version of this ruler. I imagine that the white lines are there to prevent the black lines from wearing off? I would rather make precise cuts and buy a new ruler every 5 years when the black lines wear thin. Alas, the listing for this item in Amazon currently has two images, one image showing the early version of this ruler and the other image showing the current version of this ruler. I did not pay close enough attention. I need the earlier version of this product, not the current version. I am sure that the new version of this ruler is fine for many users who do not require as precise measurements as do I. (I continue my quest for an 8.5x8.5 acrylic ruler that has ONLY the thin black lines and NO white highlights. I need to see the fabric exactly under each of the black inch mark lines; for example, to make exact 6x6 squares.)

> 3 dayFirst, the description and photo don’t match. There are no diagonal lines, no vinyl feet. I deducted one star for this error. I had read reviews, so knew what I was (And wasn’t) getting. Secondly, it’s exactly what I was looking for at an exceptional price. I needed a thicker ruler for cutting fabric on my “cut & press” board. Measurements are accurate and thickness is perfect.

> 3 dayThe numbers are large and easy to read which is a real plus. I do some sewing and crafting, and it helps me a lot of have a clear, see-through ruler with bright, clear lines to work with.

> 3 dayI really like this ruler as it helps me cut super straight on my cutting mat using a rotary cutter. I previously only had a 12 inch ruler and would have to move it for cuts longer than 12 inches. Now I dont and the numerous lines on the ruler help me align it with my cutting mat for very precise cuts.

> 3 dayDifficult to be precise measuring on the solid inch lines. A little thick for a clear ruler. Otherwise its a nice ruler.
