This was relatively easy to install, all things equal. Android tablets seem to have the most simple way to change a screen, and Apple seems to like to make things difficult. You cannot fault the manufacturer of the screen, but Apple. It took me about 40 mins all told to heat up and remove old screen, get the everything apart to remove all of old screen connections, and then re-install new screen. It went right in and was done with no muss or fuss. Did have some screws strip out, but that is again an Apple issue, they want you to shell out the money for them to fix it. To help improve adhesion, I heated up the screen and thus the adhesive before putting it in. Just hit it with heat gun for a minute or so and stuck it on. Almost a month later and the screen is still holding in place. Worth the price.

This replacement screen worked perfectly for my daughter’s iPad. The installation wasn’t too bad, but I used a YouTube tutorial instead of the sad instruction sheet that was included. The big con for me with this thing is that when I peeled off the protective film on the front of the digitizer, it left an adhesive residue that, so far, has been damned near impossible to remove. And I’m a chemist who knows about solvents! I don’t know what the hell it is. I’ve used acetone, butane, ammonia, and water. It’s still there.

This is a GREAT kit. The adhesive is not super strong but I have never ordered a kit that had adhesive as strong as the original, I get around it by using a case and have no problems. I installed this kit according to a you tube video and the first time it took me FOREVER. Easily an hour. I got the whole thing disassembled, replaced, reassembled, and the screen wouldnt come on. You have to unplug the LCD screen to get to the glass screens connector. So I took it back apart to see if the connection was secure, it was, unfortunately, put it back together, nothing. Set it aside and a few months later, started searching on replacement LCD screens, thinking I had fried it.I found one that had a comment unplug battery if LCD isnt recognized, it will force the ipad to recognize the new LCD screen. So I took it back apart (now Ive got it down to about 10 minutes. :) ) and just popped out the battery connector and plugged it back in and the darn thing started right up. I had forgotten to turn off the ipad before I started, maybe if I would have remembered that step, I wouldnt have had to unhook the battery...

It came with everything needed, (well, almost everything, a heat gun that warms it up to make it easier to open it is really helpful, but not necessary) and packaged nicely. They do a really good job putting it all together. So, if you are comfortable following instructions, patient and not afraid to crack open your tablet, it saves quite a bit over the repair shops, and honestly, I think I did a better job cleaning up the old adhesives than the last place that repaired it.

This is a difficult job for me as a first-timer, but the directions (although tiny) and included tools were extremely helpful. There wasn’t any adhesive to fold back the digitizer connector, at least if I understood that correctly. I tore off a piece of the tape that kept it closed originally to keep it folded. Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase, but there are some improvements needed. The instructions could be included online; the website wasn’t up at the time of this writing. My main complaint is that the digitizer is coming up. I now have to buy some tape and reinstall it. It would’ve been nice if take was included or if it was recommended.

    Touch screen not working

Ok, the title is a bit misleading, I actually erroneously ordered the white instead of the black. Probably an option I missed somewhere, but Im not much one to care about the color so I used it anyway. The package came very quickly, well before other Items I ordered days earlier. It was packed in a bubble envelope, but the box was fine as were the contents. I already have tools from several other iPad/iPhone/Macbook mishaps, but this one had the metal chisel and tweezers as well as a bunch of guitar picks. As others have mentioned, removing the old screen and the adhesive residue takes the longest. Mine was pretty cracked from two corner impacts, so removal was slow going and required several passes with the heat gun. Installation was a breeze and touchscreen works beautifully. I just completed the install, so I cant speak to the long term durability of the screen or adhesive, but it seems to be pretty solidly held in place. I also didnt notice any issues with the interior or exterior glass covers leaving residue; the screen looks perfect. It was just an iPad mini 2 that I had been using for a few things, but got tired of pieces of glass catching my fingers and stopped using it because I didnt want to spend over $100 on an item I only use occasionally. But $25 and a bit of my time made it worthwhile. All told, it was about an hour and a half, a good chunk of that was removing the residue from the frame and pounding the corners back into place. Were I not as particular in removing the glue and if the corners were good, it would have taken about 30-45 minutes.

I was able to put it on myself. Before I ordered it half of my touch screen wasn’t working. So I ordered this and put it together in about an hour or less. The only complaint I have is the adhesive. The adhesive to put the digitizer back on didn’t stick on as well as I thought it would. I can see some very small gaps but other then that the screen works now. For 20 bucks? I can’t really complain

The digitizer is working good so far. The only cons I have with this product are; the tape that comes on the digitizer, it isnt strong at all, and the second thing is the home button. After I finished the install the home button was very loose and I really had to press down in order to get it to click. Other than that its a great product, loved the tools that were included and thanks for covering all the copper for me to avoid the ghost tapping.

This is the second time I have fixed a cracked iPad mini screen so I am somewhat familiar with the process. I ordered the first replacement kit to fix my mothers iPad mini from the same seller and I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of the product. So when I needed a replacement screen for my personal iPad mini, I came straight to this seller. Same product, same results, and one very happy customer! One piece of advice I can offer: While the kit does include a template with step-by-step instructions, I found it much easier to follow along using one of the many youtube videos online. The process is not very difficult so long as you are PATIENT!
