Greater than one weekOk, the title is a bit misleading, I actually erroneously ordered the white instead of the black. Probably an option I missed somewhere, but Im not much one to care about the color so I used it anyway. The package came very quickly, well before other Items I ordered days earlier. It was packed in a bubble envelope, but the box was fine as were the contents. I already have tools from several other iPad/iPhone/Macbook mishaps, but this one had the metal chisel and tweezers as well as a bunch of guitar picks. As others have mentioned, removing the old screen and the adhesive residue takes the longest. Mine was pretty cracked from two corner impacts, so removal was slow going and required several passes with the heat gun. Installation was a breeze and touchscreen works beautifully. I just completed the install, so I cant speak to the long term durability of the screen or adhesive, but it seems to be pretty solidly held in place. I also didnt notice any issues with the interior or exterior glass covers leaving residue; the screen looks perfect. It was just an iPad mini 2 that I had been using for a few things, but got tired of pieces of glass catching my fingers and stopped using it because I didnt want to spend over $100 on an item I only use occasionally. But $25 and a bit of my time made it worthwhile. All told, it was about an hour and a half, a good chunk of that was removing the residue from the frame and pounding the corners back into place. Were I not as particular in removing the glue and if the corners were good, it would have taken about 30-45 minutes.

> 3 dayIt came with everything needed, (well, almost everything, a heat gun that warms it up to make it easier to open it is really helpful, but not necessary) and packaged nicely. They do a really good job putting it all together. So, if you are comfortable following instructions, patient and not afraid to crack open your tablet, it saves quite a bit over the repair shops, and honestly, I think I did a better job cleaning up the old adhesives than the last place that repaired it.

> 3 dayMy old iPad mini is worth less than paying a pro to fix the messed up screen, which is why I wanted to attempt to do it myself. So, it does not come with instructions and the ones listed on the site are bad. Look up a YouTube tutorial. I also didnt get all tools listed. It took me about an hour to remove and replace the screen, which isnt bad. Depending on how tech savvy you are, you may be able to do it quicker. The components went into place easily. The replacement screen responds well and the home button is good. Unfortunately, the adhesive is awful and the screen started lifting quickly. Luckily, the case protector Im using has it in real tight, so I think that will hold the screen in place.

> 3 dayI really would have preferred to contact Fix Cracked directly but I couldnt find any means of doing that except by filing a complaint. I ordered a total of 4 iPad Mini digitizers, the last two were ordered in December so they are past the return date.I had to replace a customers digitizer because of phantom key presses so I used the fourth one today. I taped up the flex cable and the contacts at the bottom of the digitizer with Kapton. The ghosting appears to have stopped but on removing the front protective film there is an almost impossible to remove film of adhesive or fused plastic on the screen. Attempts to remove it just makes it appear worse. It may come off by rubbing just with my fingers but I think I made that even harder to do by using the solvents. Yes I went ahead and ordered two more because they function well as far as can tell but I want the manufacturer to be aware of this film left after the removal of the front protective film.

Greater than one weekThe glass is working great, however once I installed the glass the very last step was to remove the protective film on the front side of the glass (the side that you touch to use the ipad) ...... The film did not come off easily, when I got the film off the glass looked HORRIBLE, i had nothing that would clean the glass, even goo gone, nothing would clean it.... I finally got a razor blade and had to scrape the glass for about 30 minutes to clean it up..... Other than that the digitizer has been perfect so far. The protective film that was on the side facing the LCD came off easily, not sure what happened on the other side..

> 3 dayThe digitizer is working good so far. The only cons I have with this product are; the tape that comes on the digitizer, it isnt strong at all, and the second thing is the home button. After I finished the install the home button was very loose and I really had to press down in order to get it to click. Other than that its a great product, loved the tools that were included and thanks for covering all the copper for me to avoid the ghost tapping.

> 3 dayThis is a GREAT kit. The adhesive is not super strong but I have never ordered a kit that had adhesive as strong as the original, I get around it by using a case and have no problems. I installed this kit according to a you tube video and the first time it took me FOREVER. Easily an hour. I got the whole thing disassembled, replaced, reassembled, and the screen wouldnt come on. You have to unplug the LCD screen to get to the glass screens connector. So I took it back apart to see if the connection was secure, it was, unfortunately, put it back together, nothing. Set it aside and a few months later, started searching on replacement LCD screens, thinking I had fried it.I found one that had a comment unplug battery if LCD isnt recognized, it will force the ipad to recognize the new LCD screen. So I took it back apart (now Ive got it down to about 10 minutes. :) ) and just popped out the battery connector and plugged it back in and the darn thing started right up. I had forgotten to turn off the ipad before I started, maybe if I would have remembered that step, I wouldnt have had to unhook the battery...

> 3 dayI was able to put it on myself. Before I ordered it half of my touch screen wasn’t working. So I ordered this and put it together in about an hour or less. The only complaint I have is the adhesive. The adhesive to put the digitizer back on didn’t stick on as well as I thought it would. I can see some very small gaps but other then that the screen works now. For 20 bucks? I can’t really complain

> 3 dayThe screen and tools are packaged. Ive done a handful of screen changes so I like when tools are included. The instructions are handy but the print and pictures could be larger. One almost needs a magnifying glass to read the print and see pictures. Once the old screen was apart the assembly was fairly easy. The screen has only one connector so its pretty simple attach compared to the rest of the process. Once together it fit fairly well. The only issue I have is the top right corner has adhesion issues. Ive tried redoing it a few times but it still doesnt hold the around that corner. The case itself is in rough shape so it may have something to do with that. Aside from that the touch screen works as it should.
