> 3 dayWorks great for what I need it for as a field tech who works alone. Don’t need a second person to push buttons while testing on opposite end of machinery

> 3 dayI used it the first time 2 weeks ago and it was not working.

Greater than one weekGreat purchase! Works well and the detachable part is really handy. For the price this is worth it.

> 3 dayThis is the best DMM that I have used to date. I use it multiple times a day. The removable display is great when working on cars or when needing both your hand elsewhere.

> 3 dayI work as an HVACR mechanic and this meter has been great so far with a few minor flaws. Fast readings, built very tough to take beatings. Can be cleaned off fairly easy after venturing through a crawlspace. I was very enlightened by the remote display function which was the main reason why I purchased the meter. It works fine when in range but you cant go very far when detatching the display. I would love for the next model they come out with to have further range so that I could take readings at the outdoor A/C unit and read the display in an attic or something. The other issue I have is measuing low voltage (24volt) circuits. When reading voltage at a plug (such as one on a defrost board on a heat pump) it measures stray voltage, Im guessing because all the wiring is so close together. I once was testing a defrost cycle on a heat pump when I first received the meter and read 24 volts before the control board had went into defrost. The board is only supposed to read 24 volts when it goes into defrost, assuming that your not reading backfeed from the aux heat wire coming from the t-stat (its best to isolate the aux when testing). I double checked what I was reading with another fluke tester I have and had 0 volts. I talked to a service guy from Fluke and he explained that I need a stray voltage adapter to go in-line between the leads and the meter and stray voltage reading would be taken care of. Other than that, I also purchased the amp i410 clamp meter to go with the 233. It has worked great, no complaints there.

> 3 dayNice to be able to put your leads on a device and take the reader with you to the panel to shut off breaker

> 3 dayIf you are a tech and you dont have this meter, get it. It comes with probes and a temperature probe thats within .1 Degrees. Great for BBQ :) The removable display is amazingly useful.

> 3 dayWhat a pain. To save the batteries, youre suppose to remove them from the meter. REALLY?? Worst product from Fluke Ive ever bought! This product would be great, except for the stupid draining of the batteries.

Greater than one weekIf you have any need to use this meter to inspect readings below 22 mV AC, do not buy this meter. The specification says it is accurate from 0.1mV AC to 1000V AC. However, after many weeks of working with Fluke on an issue of the meter not reading below 22 mV AC, while comparing readings using two different devices, they finally admitted that the Fluke 233 is not going to be able to read those values. They offered to replace the 233 with an 87V device for free. Thanks for trying to replace my $315 meter with a $280 meter with less capability for remote viewing. They were informed we would be keeping the 233 to do remote display capabilities, but were very disappointed that the specifications were not met by a flagship product. Clearly shows a lack of testing and support to fix their design.
