> 24 hourThese are great little lamps for an even better price. If you get them during a sale they can be as low as $5 each. They may be little, but they put out a decent amount of heat. *Anything containing a bulb can get fairly hot, so use caution when handling anything but the ceramic part. Honestly turning the lamp off and letting it cool first is safer for everyone.* Speaking of safe, it took me forever to confirm, but even though it comes with a clamp (which is hell to assemble) you can place this flat on mesh lids. Just make sure you create a safe distance between the bulb/heat and the animal, to avoid burns. When I equipped this lamp with a bulb, there are holes around the top of the lamp to allow heat to escape. The only negative is that the light escaping can be hard on the eyes if hit just right. I recently started using infrared ceramic bulbs which emit no light, so thats no longer an issue for me. All in all a great little lamp at a great price, just dont buy at a pet store, youll be paying almost triple the price. Update: Still working after two years of off and on use. Absolutely recommend.

> 24 hourIm honestly pretty annoyed. The fixture itself fried or something and just completely quit working not even a full 2 months after purchasing it. My hedgehog needs constant warmth and now is left without any until I can get a new fixture. My return window closed so Im just left with this broken fixture and stuck buying a new one.

> 24 hourLot of bang for your buck! High quality product. Ceramic parts are important when using high heat lamps.

> 24 hourThis is a decent, basic heat lamp. The clamp is pretty strong. Somewhat harder to assemble than it ideally should be though. The bulb I installed doesnt sit in the center of this lamp. Its slightly skewed. Not sure if its an issue with the bulb or the lamp. Better heat lamps have a cage/grille that keeps the bulbs from touching other things in case the lamp falls. This doesnt have a cage. Compatibility: E26 base. Works with R- or BR-shape bulbs. There are three models of this lamp: 5.5, 8.5, 10. These correspond to the max. widths of the bulbs. The page also lists maximum wattages for each model. The lamp can be plugged into standard US wall sockets. The writing on the lamp is misleading: it says 250 V, but that just means it works with up to 250 V. 120 V sockets are fine.

> 24 hourGot this because my bulb went out so i figured id just buy a whole new one. It works. My turtle likes to bask under it. It does create nice heat. Was just disappointed it didnt come with a bulb, dont know why I thought it did. Thats it just be aware you have to purchase a bulb too. Clamp holds nice

> 24 hourWorks very well. I knew it could only use up to a 75watt bulb so it is perfect for a moon glow bulb for night heat and viewing. Clamp works well.
