Not very bright, yes I know about the dimming feature. The app is poor and non-intuitive. I guess you’re paying for Bluetooth and it being dimmable. Cannot light a tall tank. Overall really overpriced.

This is not my first set of these lights. I want them on all my tanks, but it’s hard to come up with $600 all at once! I’ve thrown away so many failed plants I don’t even want to think about the money I wasted, but now all my plants are thriving under these lights. My aquarium started out with several plants all neatly scaped, and then it turned into a jungle! The more plants there are, the happier my fish are. But what attracted me to these lights is the ability to not only time the lights, but the ability to control the brightness and intensity, as well as the color hues. I can set the lights to begin low at 6 am, and have the brightness increase over the next half hour - an then increase again around noon, start decreasing in the evening, until they gradually shut off at night. Once the days start getting shorter, I can adjust the time to turn on later, mimicking winter. I never did like having a dark tank and with a flick of the switch, it’s full daylight. That’s not how it is in the Amazon or Thailand. You set the lights on your smartphone, and once they’re set, you can forget about it - unless there’s a power outage, when you would have to reset the lights. There are additional pre-set options, one that mimics a thunderstorm with lightening, but I can’t imagine why you would use that because I think it would stress the fish. I have 2 more sets to go and then every tank will have one. Yes, this is more money than I have ever spent on aquarium lights, but they are worth every penny.

This is programable for time on, time off, brightness and duration. It took me a little time to master it, but I got it done. Just a little too expensive, but its durable. I have two.

To be completely honest. In comparison to other tools you may buy, the price tag for what you get isn’t bad. The Pro mode really unlocked the true potential of this light. The fact you can run say, run blues and whites in the morning, 4 hours of the day on 100% power with warm white/pink with no blue towards the end of the day. Truly is what I’ve always wanted growing up as a kid in the hobby. Mimics nature the best one could.

Nice light and gets the job done, but only four stars because there are a few improvements that could be made without affecting the price too much. 1. The light loses its clock setting when the power goes off. They could add a $0.50 battery to fix this, like a computers motherboard. 2. Being able to export the settings to a csv xt file, edit and upload would be a nice function and would allow us to swap settings with others. Using the slider to select an exact time is tedious and typing the times into a file would be easier. The exported file could also work as a back up. 3. The less expensive Fluval Aquasky has the weather effects. I expected the same on this model but it wasnt there.

The health of my plants really shows after having used this light. Previously, I had a poor quality light that I purchased with a 20 gallon aquarium kit. I think it is better to just spend some extra money on higher quality products because it is worth it in my opinion. My fish are thriving and my friends are amazed when I change the light colors and brightness with my phone. I also love how you can set the time and even length of the sunset and sunrise.

Love it. My first high quality aquarium light and I didnt know what I was missing till I got this. Love the App control and Timing options. Nice Bright light that plants definitely appreciate. Only thing I wish It had was a riser so the light could be height adjusted.

While i did not buy the light from amazon , I still had to review the light . I have a 20 gal long tank , I got the Fluval 32 watt that was recommended for my tank . down loaded the app from Google . My old light was a Finnux planted 24-7 SE , Top end for that line . I was blown away by the major differences between the 2 . The Fluval is , I would guess 35% brighter , more rich in color , and follows the time line of sunset to dusk more accurately then the Finnux . I would get home at 11pm and the finux would still be on in its 24-7 mode while the Fluval follows the nature light cycle . I have a lot more control over my light with the app then the stupid finnux . No more remote controls to loose or buy batteries for . I was concerned about the lenth of the Fluval VS the Finux , the finux spans the entire length , while the fluval does not . But after seeing it in operation , this is a non issue . I also like the sleek , lowered look , no more honkin light protruding over my tank, now it is a sleeker look , sits much closer to the water surface . If Your running a Finnux then this is a worthy upgrade and worth every penny , Great Job Fluval !

To start, Id like to let the pictures speak for themselves. The initial picture of my 29 gallon was taken on September 1, about a week before installing this light this light when I was using a Kessill light. The second picture was taken on October 23, so roughly a month after a half. I went from wondering if I should pull out the vallisneria and try a different plant, to having to pull up new shoots of it every week because its growing so fast I have to trim constantly to keep it from taking over the tank! I was also finally able to get my dwarf hairgrass to carpet after trying unsuccessfully since June. I LOVE this light. My fish tank finally has jungle vibes, which is what I wanted. Having the ability to play with how long the lights are on and adjust the color settings is dope af, but if you dont want to mess with that the presets are cool too. Literally the only annoying thing about it is if the power gets interrupted for whatever reason, you have to reconnect to it via bluetooth for it to go through its presets correctly. I found this out the hard way by coming home to a dark fish tank because our power got interrupted over night and I didnt reset it because I didnt know i needed to. However, that little issue can be forgiven with how amazing the rest of it is. I was especially nervous when making this purchase because a 29 high is not a shallow tank, and I really wanted my dhg to carpet. This light had no problems giving robust growth even at the very bottom of the tank. If you can afford it, this light is very worth it.

Not as cheap as many on the market but the adjustability and ease of use of the app make the price difference worth it.
