Fluval Rubber Adapter for Ribbed Hosing, 304, 305, 404, 405 (2 Pieces)

I got an email from amazon asking me to review this item... To be fair, I did buy them through amazon and I do review a fair number of things that I buy through amazon... Im just kind of at a loss for words when reviewing rubber adapter for ribbed hosing... I guess it comes down to fact that they worked. I have a fluval 304 and I wanted to reposition the hoses requiring me to cut off the hoses. My old rubber adapters just didnt look right. They had a lot of algae on them that I couldnt clean off and I was worried about developing a leak, so I ordered the new ones. I was initially a bit nervous... I found it hard to believe that just twisting the hose into the adapter would create a water tight seal, but it did. I had it up and running within a half hour of the package coming in, (I had to cut hose... etc.) and so far (knock on wood) no leaks. So, I gave 5 stars to the fluval rubber adapter for ribbed hosing because they did exactly what they were designed to do with a minimum of effort on my part. I needed these for my 306 and 406 tubing. Theyre a perfect fit. I used them to connect an in-line UV sterilizer. I tried switching to reinforced vinyl tubing, but just couldnt find a good solution that met all my needs. These adapters are the best way to attach inline items to the Fluval ribbed hosing. Just be sure to use hose clamps, because I was getting some tiny drops/leaks without them.

For those of you looking for black connectors to replace the white connectors that come with the new 06 series of Fluval filters this is NOT the right product. The picture is wrong.
