Highly recommend! We got this for our sons 16th birthday! It works just like it says it does, and he loves it!

Everything I have seen online makes it look like it melts in your hand like chocolate on a hot day. In reality it took quite a while to melt, at least for me. I guess that makes sense. Ice takes a while to melt and your hand is 50f or so above the melting point. For this it is only a few degrees at best. In hot water it melts fairly quickly but takes a while to solidify. Still cool.

Edit; I did a little googling... got it to harden to normal by getting it super cold, agitation, super cold again. Seems kosher now, room temp for a while. Didnt know it could get stuck in the fluid state. Very disappointed. I received it a few hours ago, totally liquid, was about 68° outside, figured it may have gotten warm in the mail truck. Hours later, still full thin liquid and my house is 70°. Should be SOLID under 85° !

It was a warm day on the day my package arrived and when I went outside to get it everything seemed fine about. I brought it inside and opened the package to find a bag with an open container and liquid gallium spilled all over the bag. The container the gallium comes in is not good quality and opens pretty easily.

For all the people leaving 1 star reviews because your kids made a mess. This is not an issue with the product but an issue with your expectations and knowing nothing about the the element. Dont buy some random element your kid saw an experiment with without researching it. Furthermore you should be supervising use. 1 star parenting.

Bought this to amaze my grandkids. They love it and hours of fun.
