> 3 dayPurchased so i could teach my nephew about interesting minerals. He was extremely excited and the product melted in your hand as it said. The product does take awhile to melt so dont think its instantaneous. Excellent product

> 3 dayThis stuff is really cool to play with, but BE WARNED...if you spill it it’s hard to clean. Tiny pieces will cause scuff marks when stepped on, it will stick everywhere. My son unfortunately spilled the vial while trying to put it away. But otherwise this stuff is really cool and I do recommend it. The loss of 1 star is only because it really needs to be emphasized about clean up.

> 3 dayI read melt in your hands, like 77-79 degrees or whatever, that does not happen, youre going to look like an idiot for hours on end holding this crap in your hand BUT this element is pretty dang cool! I put it in hot tap water (about 115 degrees) and came back and it was melted. Boiling water, no time at all, separates itself from the water, pour it out (carefully, dont wanna accidentally send it down the drain its too expensive) and when it sets up again its surprisingly strong, Id relate to aluminum or maybe stronger when cooled. Its just fun to play with and I used to play with mercury, no problems, but I showed a friend and he freaked out! Watch some vids on YouTube, itll give you ideas

> 3 dayThis is a really cool product. My kids love it and have a blast messing around with it. I will say that it can be quite messy, leaving blackish/gray streaks on white cabinets etc.. However, Windex gets if off easily

> 3 dayWhen you first get it, and it is in the tube, your best bet is to set the tube in some hot water, as it will take awhile for the thick cylinder of gallium to melt. But, then you can pour it out and play with it. It is messy, and will stain pretty much anything it touches. So, be careful where you play with it. You can use the syringe to pick up the liquid. What we did was to have a container of cold water ready, when we were finished playing with the liquid gallium. Place the liquid gallium right into the cold water, and it will re-solidify. Then, you can just pick it up, and put it wherever you want to store it. Once you have thinner pieces of gallium, it is pretty easy to melt it in your hand.

> 3 dayHaven’t weighed it yet to see if it’s 50grams but the tube it came in has cracks in it so it probably won’t last very long but other than that I like it though I wish the long term storage was better

> 3 dayI bought this for my 11 year old, who loves it. However, it stained his hands, and everything that came in contact, or indirect contact with. Even after washing his hands vigorously, the grey stain transferred to his entire body, clothing and furnishings. It does clean off surfaces with more pressure than the description claims. He is still trying to wash it off his body after two days. Definitely not recommend for children. It has been thrown in the garbage after one days use and $40 spent.
