Garmin 010-02064-00 Instinct, Rugged Outdoor Watch with GPS, Features Glonass and Galileo, Heart Rate Monitoring and 3-Axis Compass, Graphite

This watch worked perfectly for the first few months. Then the user interface, connectivity, bluetooth, heartrate sensors, GPS, anything and everything that was supposed to track your personal data was thrown off and was obviously incorrect. Even though I live in Florida and there are not a lot of stairs, or change in elevation for that matter, I started logging 30+ floors climbed per day. I used to log sub 7 minute miles on my runs, before long however, I knew by google maps and landmarks that at half a mile into a run, my watchs GPS showed that I had only gone .01 miles at a 24:50 pace when that was obviously not correct. Sometimes, it will randomly stop tracking my heart rate, or decide not to sync up with the app.

This is my third Garmin watch. I had some minor issues with the previous two (bands breaking, for example), but nothing major. I primarily use it for walking, as I have some knee troubles from my time in the military.

I’ve worn an ‘ABC’ type watch for as long as they’ve been produced by various companies for a lot of years. Never thought I’d care for a ‘smart watch’ but can honestly say I am very pleased with the Garmin Instinct. Super easy to calibrate altitude and barometer by using the built in GPS. It’s way smaller than previous watches I’ve had in the past and very light weight. It’s pretty much the size of a normal watch rather than looking like a hockey puck on your wrist.

I was looking for a reason to get into working out again. This watch was it. Being able to track my fitness and movement has been huge in motivating me to continue working out. It’s awesome to be able to know how many steps I’ve taken, how many miles I’ve currently walked. What pace I’m making. Then for it all to be connected to the Garmin connect app and give you real time stars is out of this world.

Uhr ist sehr leicht, angenehm zu tragen, hat alle garmintypischen Funktionen. Leider stürzt sie immer ab. Der Bildschirm friert ein und die Knöpfe reagieren nicht mehr. Reset ist nicht möglich. Neustart wenn überhaupt erst nach vollständiger Entleerung des Akkus. Man sagt, Garmin Uhren halten zwei Jahre. Meine Instinct erreicht diesen sagenhaften Wert absolut nicht. Ich habe sie zur Reparatur zurückgeschickt und ein anderes Exemplar erhalten. Der Fehler ist derselbe und trat sehr schnell auf. Im Augenblick finde ich bei Amazon keine Option wie ich das Ersatzgerät zurückschicken kann.
