> 3 dayIgnore the messaging that this watch is for runners and triathletes. Im neither. I swim and the watch is great. I had a vivoactive 3 for 3 years and tried the vivoactive 4 for a month. Swapped to this and the difference in price is well worth it.

> 3 dayGreat upgrade from my FR 925! Solar does help with battery life but it will not replace the charging (at least not here in Canada in the Winter, perhaps in sunnier countries it might.

> 3 dayI previously used a Garmin Fenix 6s pro for running and training for marathons but this is so much better. My wrist measures 150mm so it’s on the small side but the 955, even though it’s actually bigger, is much more comfortable to wear all day and while sleeping. It’s lighter and has a different look than the Fenix but it looks really good in person. Battery life is excellent. I’m on track to get 15 days battery life with regular use. The running metrics and adaptive training that are available right on the watch are leaps and bounds better than the coaching programs available in garmin connect. I’m very pleased with this upgrade. The white looks really good and I have no regrets moving from the Fenix line to this forerunner. It’s exceeding my expectations in every way.

> 3 dayId been looking to get a new fitness watch ever since my FitBit Charge 3 gave up the ghost about 12 months ago. I looked at Apple Watches, Samsung, Polar, Suunto, before coming around to Garmin in large part due to their great battery life. I went with the Fenix 5 originally, they were having a sale last year. I had it for almost a month but ended up returning it because it was a little too heavy, the battery life wasnt as good as I hoped and the construction material irritated my skin.
