Greater than one weekExactly what I need. Unfortunately one bottle was badly broken. But I didn’t need them all so it’s not a big deal.

> 3 dayI bought these bottles to use for homemade kombucha. They work great and I actually like the smaller 8 oz sizes. The tops are sometimes very hard to unscrew, which I suppose can be a good thing.

Greater than one weekThe case of bottles arrived quickly, but one bottle was broken in transit (not enough to return or file a claim). The plastic caps of the bottles seem flimsier than other bottles I have used in the past.

> 3 daySame issue as other reviewers here. The cap is not the same quality as other companies: they shed plastic when you cap them, these do not appear to be chemical safe phenolic material and the inside plastic cone seems to be a bpa plastic. There is an off smell about them as well, tell tale sign of poor quality. I can not sell my products with this caps. 90% of the caps I received shed plastic into the jars as I twisted the cap. I am glad I tested the caps before putting my products inside. When I notified the company, they responded quickly by saying some of their jars were faulty and that is why the caps shed plastic. But actually it has nothing to do with the glass jars which honestly arent very good quality either..they arrived dusty, had many blemishes and trapped bubbles, seaming from the mold making process, and they are easily etched into. The company responded by sending me more cases of the same jars with the same problem. It was a generous response but it is simply not responding to the issue of the poorly manufactured product.

> 3 dayIm always apprehensive about ordering anything made of glass from Amazon, but these arrived intact and safely. All the bottles were well made and didnt have any imperfections. the caps are good and can be tightened without them feeling like they were going to crack. And obviously, no leaking. I used these to store homemade vanilla and to give as gifts. Ill definitely be buying more!

> 3 dayNormally if a product is no good, you return it or throw it in the garbage. But this is a container. Thus if this type of product fails, or is defective, it has the potential to not only be a loss of the $20ish dollars you paid for these bottles but also a loss of whatever you tried to store within. My first complaint is the poor seal created between the lids and bottles. About 10-20% of the lids do not fit properly. I suspect the seam of the glass bottle is the root cause, as its much more prominent on some defective bottles. When you try to tighten them down, they feel crunchy, abrasive. Whats happening is the soft black and clear plastic is shredding as it grinds on the glass seam. Furthermore, on the ones that seem smooth you will also find shreds of plastic. They will just be smaller. I invite anyone who has purchased these to test this by opening and tightly closing the bottles several times. Then wipe the threads with a paper towel and you will find little black and clear particles. Attached are my two most defective bottles from my case of 12. But IMO they all are defective and unsafe for many uses. GBO needs to stop being so cheap in their manufacturing.
