Greater than one weekUnit will randomly shut off the light, at which point it becomes unresponsive to Alexa. However, if you shut off the lamp, using the lamps own switch, and turn it back on, the light lights up and it remains responsive to Alexa until the next random time it decides to flake out. I will be buying a different brand next time.

> 3 dayI should have looked and read the info more carefully. This will only allow control for a device that doesnt have a ground plug. The passthrough has it but the control side doesnt.

> 3 dayThis dimmer works great with incandescent bulbs, but I wanted to use it with a string of LED bulbs. When plugged in to this dimmer the LEDs would never fully turn off! When the switch was off, the LEDs would still glow faintly.

> 3 dayThe install was simple and straightforward, linked right up to my SmartThings hub. However, the connected lights don’t turn off fully when the switch is off, they stay on at around 1% brightness though the app shows the switch is off, even if the physical button is pressed. Anything above 89% causes the lights to flicker then switch back to 1% brightness. Tried different lights and circuits with the same result. Obviously broken out of the box. Returned for a different model.

> 3 dayIt seems like this product needs some minimum power level to work. I tried to use it with LED Christmas tree lights, but it appeared to have trouble dimming them. I know that the LEDs can be dimmed because the IoT device I used last year, which I packed in a box we put mistakenly packed in a POD, worked just fine.

> 3 dayI know I shouldve read the description closer but I bought this without having a hub and it worked as a switch but did not have the ability to dim. Once I upgraded my Amazon Echo 1st gen to a 4th gen (which acts as a hub) it works great. The bulb and lamp I bought were just too bright for my current room. The dimmer allows me to put it to 50% and its perfect.

> 3 dayIt took me some time to finally find a video walking me through setup with Alexa and my echo plus. Once I did it took one minute. It works so well! I can adjust the power and the brightness on my phone or by asking Alexa. It’s just what I was looking for!
