30-03-2025This paired and worked with Home Assistant easily. Used an incandescent bulb the dim function is fine. Used my dimmable led under the counter lights they flicker. Im very unsatisfied with the dimmable function of this product.

> 3 dayI know I shouldve read the description closer but I bought this without having a hub and it worked as a switch but did not have the ability to dim. Once I upgraded my Amazon Echo 1st gen to a 4th gen (which acts as a hub) it works great. The bulb and lamp I bought were just too bright for my current room. The dimmer allows me to put it to 50% and its perfect.

> 3 dayThe GE Plug-in smart dimmer is exactly what I was looking for: an easy way to use existing or specialty bulbs (such as incandescent or LED based Edison style bulbs) alongside the rest of my connected bulbs using the Philips Hue bridge (its all ZigBee, it should work!). After cycling through every single wireless channel with attempted touch link and force pairings (even resetting the GE dimmer to factory defaults and trying again), I couldnt get it to link up to my system. Upon further research, I discovered the GE dimmer uses the Zigbee Home Automation protocol (version 1.2), while the Philips Hue system is only compatible with ZigBee Light Link (not sure what version). It is simply not compatible unless Philips upgrades their system to ZigBee 3.0 and implements the combined ZHA+ZLL protocol. I hear the hardware is compatible, its just up to them if they want to or not...and given their current stance on third party expansion, it seems unlikely to happen. Philips Hue users: look elsewhere, this wont work for you. Everyone else: no idea if itll work or not. Three stars for a lost evening of futile troubleshooting and poor clarity regarding what ZigBee compatible actually means.

30-03-2025I have a floor lamp with 5 arms and dimmable bulbs. After moving I could not find the dimmable remote I had been using so purchased this one. Two issues buyers should be aware of: 1 - It always flickers if set to 100%, but is fine at 95%, and there is no range adjustment as with some wall mounted units I have from another company. 2 - Setting it to low values, like 2% for use as a night light, doesnt work as it did with the dimmer I cannot find. 5% works reliably but is a bit brighter than I want so I found after leaving it set to 5% for a few minutes I can lower to 3% and get reasonable results. Setting directly to 3% for some reason does not work. As a retired electronics systems designer I know this is about design and component tolerances. Once I find the original switch I will swap this one out and use it elsewhere where the brightness issues are not a problem.
