Overall a nice addition to my collection of stained glass tools. It does take some practice cutting out glass pieces so spend some time practicing on some cheap glass before trying to use it on a project. The saw is a bit noisy but otherwise, no complaints. The most successful way I have found to cut an intricate piece is to transfer the shape you want to a card stock and glue it to the glass using elmers glue on both sides of the card stock. Let it dry before starting the cutting. Generally I have found that pushing the glass into the saw band is better than pulling it through...somewhat better control. The saw also is very helpful in shaving glass from areas of a shape that are otherwise not accessible with a grinder. In this case, I find using a silver marker and coating it with a chap stick will keep the marking visible during the shaving process.

If you have the money do not hesitate to buy this machine. I am new at stain glass. This machine cuts detail great. It can cut forward, back and side to side. It improved my skills and designs greatly. I would recommend this machine many times over. Love it!!

If you are into stained glass, this is a must have tool. Easy to make very intricate cuts on very small pieces. Best of all no need to grind the edges after cutting

This machine is so much better than the gryphon ring saw. It fits together better and the materials are quality.

I purchased this saw for my wife in March of 2013 but she didnt use it until two days ago, June 27, 2017. Time spent unused shouldnt have had a negative effect on the saw. Much to my wifes disappointment the motor failed after about two hours of use. The cost of a new motor is about $157.00. Weve contacted the manufacturer but have not heard back from them yet. This may be a freek occurance but I wanted buyers to be aware of the failure.

Light, convenient, versatile. Safe (I originally worried about this when I ordered, but I was wrong then. The saw is very well human-engineered.) I would recommend research to order the accessories with the saw based on the needs of your application, HOWEVER it was usable out of the box after a 10-minute setup for mine -- precision-cutting mosaic glass. The instructional videos are both very useful and very funny, and are worth watching even if youve used a ring saw before.

I purchased this product for my wife to use on stained glass projects. She loves the saw for the precise cuts it allows her to make and the ease of use. Initial setup is very easy using the included instructions. I would highly recommend this item to anyone working with stained glass that has any experience using a grinder or other similar devices. This allowed my wife to expand her horizons to more difficult patterns and she really enjoys her hobby again!!!
