Greater than one weekAnother super easy upgrade to my Honda Element! I used to have to unlock the passenger door to get into my car because the drivers door lock didnt work anymore. I first replaced the actuator for the drivers power door lock, thinking that was the problem. Did that, and all that changed was the lock would go up and down electrically, but I still couldnt enter through the drivers side. This unit was super easy to install (make sure your wiring harness will accommodate it), and presto!! I still cant use the actual key, but the key fob works great and saved me the headache of taking the door apart and trying to wriggle around in there.

> 3 dayPerfect for a 2003 Honda Element EX with power door locks but no keyless entry option. It was a bit of a pain to program, the instructions don’t tell you the fobs won’t work until you take the key out of the ignition after programming. I sat there wondering why they wouldn’t work for a time. Overall a great OEM product.

> 3 dayThis was just what I needed. I recently purchased a 2003 Honda Element EX and although it has power windows and locks, it had no keyless entry fobs. Upon searching the web I came to realize the car is already wired for keyless entry and just needed this kit. There is an access panel under the steering wheel. 2 half turn tabs. Remove it and look for the 2 green plugs above the dead pedal (foot rest). Plug the box into the smaller green plug, and youre DONE! My 2 fobs were already programmed and worked immediately without having to do the pairing process. Best $90 spent ever! No more unlocking manually!

> 3 dayInstalled on my daughters 03 Honda Element and it works great! Locks/unlocks doors including the back hatch; horn beeps and lights flash when doors lock and the panic button sets off the horn and lights. Really simple and fast installation and the fobs were pre-programmed and ready to go!

> 3 dayRead all of this to see the one dangerous issue! I found installation instructions on youtube. It was difficult to get out the little panel that gives access to the screw holding the cover in. It got a little damaged but its not visible so that was not critical. Exposing the connector was not hard but treat wires carefully and gently when you cut the tape to access the connector. Snap on the fob reader box and reconnect the battery. Follow the video closely! But there is one weird issue which potentially could give you trouble. After opening the locks with the fob they frequently automatically re-close after say 10 to 20 seconds. So if you somehow left fob and keys in car you could be screwed! The solution to this is to use the master lock control switch inside the drivers door to signal all locks to open (even if they are open with fob) If you do this they dont relock automaticlly. But for safety hang on to that fob.

> 3 dayTook twenty minutes to install into my 2004 CR-V, including the time it took to watch a YouTube installation video. All it required was a screwdriver, pocket knife, and a flashlight. Worth getting for sure.
