While these are just filters, the machine from this manufacturer is also very good. I have issues with allergies, bronchitis and asthma but these systems, including the filters offer relief. Recent years added significant wildfire smoke in this region, but I got through that as well. Like this brand

Aug. 2019 product recd. Update on prior reviews. Been ordering these filters multiple times for a very long time. The purifiers work so very well. Noticed that the pre-filters are getting thinner and thinner. The 2 I just received are tissue paper thin and many spots thin enough to see the pleats on the main filter thru. Will keep an eye going forward to see if the filters are made thicker (as they used to be). If not, this will cause the main filters to have to be replaced even more frequently. Not something I am willing to purchase more frequently if not necessary. Works wonderful and keeps the air cleaner then expected for a smaller unit. Filter is easy to install and has to be changed with your usage of the purifier. A great system.

I was a little skeptical about how much this would purify the air. Then i replaced the filter & WOW! what it filtered out was amazing! The picture makes it look like a brick pattern is on the filter, but no— the white is actually all the garbage that it filtered from the air! I definitely felt that my allergies were improved this spring/summer, but thought that maybe wearing a face mask at work helped too. In any case, it does the job, easy to replace filter. Literally about 10 seconds.

Ive been buying these for a few years now and they just changed how the black filter is made. Im not a fan of the new material at face value. It looks like a way cheaper quality material and one that Ive never seen before in any HEPA filter. Im now happy about the change so far. Im still undecided if the change has degraded the quality of the filter in general. It also makes me question whether the white filter design was also cheapened. I was pretty happy with the Gem Guardian until now. UPDATE: Ive had this new filter in for about a week now and I was shocked how much dust was already on the black filter already. Im thinking this new style filter actually filters out more than the old one does so Im increasing my rating to 4 stars now. I also washed the black part and it didnt fall apart as expected and was surprisingly easier to clean than the older one. The old design would have dust getting stuck inside the holes of the filter and Id have to wash it for a while before i could get everythign out of it. The new one seemed to clean up much easier because the holes in the filter arent as big. It cleaned up well and didnt degrade like I expected. Overall Im actually liking the new design better now.

Not much to say about this. It goes with the air purifier I am using and it fits perfectly and does the job! I was impressed at how much dust and crap it filters out of the air, and am very thankful for it as my workplace is the worst when it comes to dust. Great product. Will be buying more as long as my air purifier works!

Easily went into my air purifier, even though it had a yellow color on the band on outside my original one did not. Really thats about all you need. A filter just has to do its job once installed.
