Gran Turismo 6

My first involvement with modern-day video games was with first generation Playstation and Gran Turismo in 1998. This latest version is thankfully available on PS3 for folks like me who arent chomping at the bit to spend $400 on the PS4......yet. The car choices have some GREAT new additions, and tracks as well. Formatting of garage and dealers is much better. Trade off is quality and realism of how the cars look overall, though that seems more common on cars carried over. Also, the drive quality of the cars feels different. Cars have more pronounced dive during braking and lean in corners--possibly done in the name of realism. Unfortunately, it makes buying the adjustable suspension option on each car acquired a necessity in order to enjoy the drive. But overall, only XBoxs Forza franchise comes close to GT6 in detail and quality, and once I loosen my wallet to buy the PS4 console, I expect that my issues with GT6 are resolved there.

Lets be honest, this game was a bit of a let down.

Gran Turismo is not like any other racing/sports game. We do not get a new one every year like every sports franchise and racing games like Need For Speed. Over 15 years Gran Turismo has released 6 brilliantly laid out and well executed racing simulations.

I assume this will be an awesome review, but the truth is I havent played the game yet. Why? Because the PS3 has been installing patches and updates for the past three hours, and I have a 60mbps internet connection!! Why cant I just insert the disk and play my game? I work for a software development company and understand the need for bug fixes and improvements, but come on!!

There are more than 1000 cars , hundreds of tracks , I love how innovative it is.

Stakes is close to being so uninformed its funny.

gran turismo 6 i could go on for thousands of words but ill just say to those men and women out there who love cars. this is the game for you. the track selection is just awesome as is the over 1200 cars to pick from! WARNING this game can eat time your time with all the breathe taking efficiency of sleeping. as you are figuring out the most interesting corners on your favorite track and tuning those hard earned dream cars. hanging out with friends online. it could very well be the next day before you take notice. there is just nothing to take up the time like trying to run the perfect lap. or getting the most from your cars. i just love gt6 the tracks are beautiful the car handling aswel as the cars themselves are fairly stunning. stop reading reviews and buy gt6

Amazon did nothing wrong at all, but the game is so stupid that I dont even play it. By far the worst racing game Ive played.
