> 24 hourWe have Cover your Assets by Grandpa Beck, and love it! So we decided to give Skull King a try and love it, just as much! Its easy to learn and has quickly turned into a family favorite. We’ve played with the whole family, with a range of ages, but would be fun played with just adults. Thanks Grandpa Beck!

> 24 hourSkull King is a thrilling and challenging card game that will keep players on their toes. The game has simple yet deep gameplay, making it easy to pick up but difficult to master. The artwork and design of the cards are well done and add to the theme of the game. The rules are easy to follow, and the game can be played with 2-6 players, making it a great option for game night with friends or family. One of the things I liked most about Skull King is the level of player interaction. The game encourages players to bluff, make deals, and form alliances, making each round feel like a mini-game of poker. Overall, Skull King is an excellent addition to any game collection. Its a game that can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels and provides hours of entertainment. I highly recommend giving it a try.

> 24 hourWe love this game. The scoring is a little bit to keep track of, but the game is easy to learn. We love the expansion. The addition of the kraken and mermaids really makes it fun.

> 24 hourThis is the third or fourth time weve bought this game for us (we play at dinner and the cards get sticky) and weve given it to several people as a gift, and we love the new special cards that they keep adding. A great trick collecting game for ages 6 and up.

> 24 hourMy wife and I play a lot of games. And my kids play games with us. I grew up playing a game we called Knock or Mormon Bridge and this is an enhanced version of that game!! Skull King is similar to other trick playing games like Rook or Spades, in that players give a bid for the number of tricks they will take. In Skull King, the bid is done at the same time... We still knock on the table with a 1...2...3... BID. You then get points based on the accuracy of your bid. In Skull King there are bonus points for sluffing (bidding zero). There are cards that allow you to sluff or take. There are also cards with points on them. And there are the pirates that take all, with the Skull King who trumps all pirates and gets extra points for recruiting pirates played that trick. All of the variations make this game a lot of fun and totally worth buying! CONS: The many special cards make the game less predictable than traditional trick-taking games. My wife doesnt much like the added variation. This does make the game not quite as serious and slightly less strategic. PROS: The game moves pretty quick. Good for groups and all ages. Its got a good amount of strategy but the play is still easy going and fun. You cant help but smile when you get punked by the Skull King. If you like trick-taking card games then you will probably like this game. For the money, the simplicity, the age range, and the number of players I give this game 5 out 5 stars.
