This did absolutely nothing for finding a leak in the ground. Turned my pond a very lively green but in the area where the water was draining I was expecting the same color to come out. Clear as a bell. I was trying to determine the actual level where the leak was originating from. Nothing. Just clear water.

Item was received quickly, packaged well, and worked just as expected. The green dye is extremely bright so you know for sure what you are looking at. I used this to help trouble shoot my septic system. The plumber wanted $100 for the same process you could easily do yourself!

The product shipped fast, and it seems to work as advertised. Tested it in toilet tanks to determine if flapper valves were leaking. Very concentrated, about a half teaspoon turned the full tank bright fluorescent green. Have used about a half gallon chasing the source of excess water coming into a sump pump system. Have not located the source yet, but that is not the fault of this product. Buying a UV flashlight is recommended, the UV really makes it glow!) It would be useful if this product came with a brief tutorial, especially how to analyze stormwater problems and required concentrations for various conditions (hydrology for dummies).

I have three pipes that come from my house and go to the ditch out front. I wanted to find the pipe that my floor drains were connected to. They werent draining properly and I wanted to find the correct pipe to target and figure out how long it took for the dye to come out of it if at all. This turned the water super bright green and it also glowed in a blacklight. It worked exactly like I wanted. It provided me with the information that I needed and worked great. I would definitely recommend this product.

Used it to test an under drain system. Worked great.

It worked well...however, I think I should have gotten red. I used it on my hydronic system to locate a leak and the glue on the insulation around the hot water pipes also shows up as green under the UV light. A little confusing when you are looking for a leak and all the insulation appears to have a leak! Maybe first look at the system you are going to use the leak detection on with an UV light first and see if anything gives off a fluorescent color. THEN purchase the appropriate color UV dye. Good luck!
