The product shipped fast, and it seems to work as advertised. Tested it in toilet tanks to determine if flapper valves were leaking. Very concentrated, about a half teaspoon turned the full tank bright fluorescent green. Have used about a half gallon chasing the source of excess water coming into a sump pump system. Have not located the source yet, but that is not the fault of this product. Buying a UV flashlight is recommended,the UV really makes it glow!) It would be useful if this product came with a brief tutorial, especially how to analyze stormwater problems and required concentrations for various conditions (hydrology for dummies).

This is the tracing dye to use for leak detection. We have been very pleased with the brilliant green color of this product, especially when activated with either a 365nm or 395nm UV light source. We are currently conducting a dye tracer study of water infiltration and exfiltration of a storm drain system. This product adds stunning color to our underground pipeline video imaging.

I tried searching for a leak on a buried blue water line ...never did see the green die on the surface. So I tried seeing it if I poured a suggested mixture, then a stronger mix, on the ground ... didnt see that either. Maybe others will find that it works. We sure didnt.

Using to identify downspout outflow, well connections/leaking, and so forth. Working great. Looks orange in bottle but BRIGHT fluorescent green in water.

My dishwasher was leaking and I couldnt for the life of me find it. A little dye and a black light flashlight and I spotted the leak in 5 minutes. Saved a bunch of time and money.
