First the good: the molding detail is just excellent. Now the rest: its pretty small. I read the reviews and knew it would be, but I was still a little surprised by the size. Im going to try to post a picture of it next to a life size skull to really show the difference. Its a shame, because again, this thing is super realistic (in the molding). The other problem is the painting. I was worried about the red around the eye sockets, but thats not too bad, HOWEVER, there are a few small rubbed/missed spots of no paint where the jawbone meets the skull on one side, which was a real bummer. That was what dropped my review from 4 stars to 3. I guess if you were creative, you could fix or enhance the paint. I got it for $9.50, in my mind, i would have been happier if it was $7-$8.

Came across this little guy a while back, and threw it into my Wish List for later review. ... But then I placed an order for some other stuff, and the big item didnt count toward the free shipping since it wasnt being shipped from Amazon. So instead of paying $8 and something for shipping, I added this guy and it was only $7 dollars more for the order. But glad I did, because hes really cool. I keep him near my art setup and he fits well. I also use him to hold my glasses when not working, which works quite well. ... Im glad hes not full or actual size. I dont think I would like it as much if it were. The quality and design is great, and he looks perfect as is, with nice colors and details.

These skulls are small, like maybe the size of an infant. If you want some small decorations for Halloween they are fine. If you are expecting a full-size skull don’t purchase.

This product was the model for my final drawing for an art class. It was so realistic looking, but is smaller than a 1 to 1 replica. My niece came in my room while I was reading about Italian opera. She asked if this was a real skull. I could not resist, I told her, This is my cousin, Veto, he died young. He was just a baby and was born with a full set of teeth. His mother would not let him nurse. Poor little Veto starved to death. My niece said, Really!!!, Really!!! Is this really your cousin Veto? I still havent told her any differently.

I get so many reactions with this on my desk. I named mine Jerome and that seems to prompt even more/better reactions.

This skull will be great for my pirate party. It is smaller than a human skull, but looks realistic. Nice quality, not flimsy.

Skull is very realistic looking, but smaller than I expected (maybe I missed the dimensions when ordering), like a child (creey to say) vs an adult. It also arrived broken in the back - see pictures - probably because it was packaged rather poorly. Based on the realistic look, I will reorder, but if youre looking for an adult-size you should pass.

Bought as a shelf piece. Very happy with the item. It should be handled carefully as it could break if dropped, but isnt as fraile as some reviews suggest. Great color and of course is nowhere near full size (which is what I wanted). My daughter likes it alot so I hope she doesnt break it playing with it.

It was too small to be anything close to realistic.
