> 3 dayInstallation went easily enough. The mounting bracket is designed as such that I can use one charger between two homes as needed, i.e. Vacation home and work home. Ill have to inquire about an extra mounting base. Installed today 3/22/23 and couldnt be happier. Sturdy charger and the ability to change amperage via dip switches makes a lot of options available.

> 3 dayVery basic, but excellent. Don’t need a smart charger since the car handles most aspects of that. When our electrician first installed the Nema plug, the grizzle didn’t work. Called tech support, who said the blinking light indicated there was a short in the circuitry, which my electrician initially denied. Sure enough…for not being smart, it told us all we needed to know. We’ve had it now for 7 months and love it

Greater than one weekExcellent quality. Now I know ehy the company is named Grizzly... this device svreams hesvy duty from its sppearsnce to to monster thick cord which is manageable but just a lityle challenging yo wrestle with when trying to straighten it :-). this is installed on a 14-50 nema Outlet I have installed on my garage wall with a dedicated 50 amp breaker in the circuit breaker box. since my break a box automatically only uses 80% of capacity I didnt have to click any dip switches that are located on the inside. Charging,: my Ford Escape plugin hyybrid vehicle normally charges on My Level 1 charger and takes somewhere around 10 hours to charge fully overnight.... this unit charge it in about 3 hours! Negative: one annoyance: unit came with one of the x screws stripped. there are four hex screws on the front of the unit one of them was already stripped on arrival... which means this unit was damaged before receiving it... somebody overtotqued the screw in place or this was a return from someone else and I rnded up with it.... thats nit good and shows lack of quality control when pscking the item for sale ( probably repacked) Re: photo I posted an image I took of the unit while it was plugged in and charging you can see theres a light on the front of the box thats green. Im assuming the green light simply means its powered because I dont remember seeing it the light change or not at their fully charged. also note if you mount this on the wall be very careful where you mount it because the plug from the unit itself to the end of the plug that plugs into the wall is very short and very thick and not all that pliable... which means you need to position where its mounted making sure you can plug it into the wall from where its mounted. Portability: I have seen wording in description of the unit that it is portable. this thing is relatively heavy I think about 20 lb. portable probably means you can remove it from the wall where it is and place it on the wall somewhere else and move it back and forth if you need to... Im not sure I can imagine taking this on the road with me to plug in at a charging station... it would be awkward you would plug it in the box would hang with its weight on it on the cord itself thats plugged in and then youd have to run the awkwardly thick cable to the car. just my opinion.... but in a pinch I suppose you could do this.

> 3 dayWhen it worked, it worked just fine. Its everything you would want out of a basic level 2 charger without any of the gimmick smart features the more expensive chargers have. It worked flawlessly for over a year, it even survived a month of constant rain and it still worked through rain and frost, then after the weather became good again, it just stopped functioning and the light on it that tells you the fault didnt work. I filed a warranty claim, customer service got back to me quickly but ignored my claim about none of the lights flashing, I replied, and I havent heard since. According to their own website, theyre supposed to send me a new unit under warranty and because this isnt a fault with the breaker, home wiring, or the car, but theyve been silent. Ill gladly change my review to a 5 star since this is a 5 star product when it works, but it seems like the only way to get these companies to stand by their product is to leave them some negative publicity on their product page. Update 2/23/23 They claim they were delayed due to a Canadian holiday but now theyre shipping me a new unit. I dont know if its because I left a negative review or not, but theyre finally standing by their warranty so Im changing my review to a 5 star like I said since this is a good charger when its not dead.

> 3 dayThis is not a fancy charger, but it is well made. I track charging in my app and through power usage with my solar panel features. I went with this charger based on the value for the money. I don’t have any concerns about it. The connector is nice and works better than most public ones I have used too.

> 3 dayNice product. Easy to install with mounting hangar. Case very rugged with a nice finish. Cable long and heavy duty. Only improvement would be to include a better holster as the plastic one is light weight for the heavy cable.

> 3 dayBuilt like a tank, works without fail, worth every penny. Would not hesitate to remove this from the wall (did I mention the quick release mounting plate) throw it in the trunk, and use it on an RV hookup while tent camping. Waterproofing done right, cord grips, gasketed metal enclosure. Not cheap plastic clamshells like you get with similar lower cost products.
