> 24 hourSalted Caramel Gu is a gift from the heavens! I was only able to use chews/chops before trying this because many of the other gels would upset my stomach. I wanted to transition into gels because carrying around a marathons worth of chomps can become a bit bulky. There are a lot of decent flavored gels out there but this one wins on flavor and ease of digestion. I have been tempted to have one as a snack, thats how delicious they are.

> 24 hourThis is a good goo with nice flavor and a little caffeine. Can give you a small boost of energy during the day. But all these energy goos are a overpriced.

> 24 hourBeen using clif shots and thought Id try these out as they seem like they might have a better balance of items. The Gu tastes odd, definitely not of vanilla. Might try another type, but Clif have all tasted better.

> 24 hourIm sure part of it is psychological, but I always take it before I work out. Whether it is a physical or mental boost, it seems to help me get going.

> 24 hourThe grape one tastes like bad cough medicine, but the others were great! After trying these flavors, I’m doing subscribe and save with the caramel flavor.

> 24 hourMy two athletes use these all the time. Good for a pre-workout/competition boost. They are very tasty! Thick, caramel flavor- very much like candy- for me they are a little too rich tasting, so if thats a concern, have some water nearby to wash it down. They are super convenient to throw in a gear bag, and give a little boost on the go.

> 24 hourIve used other electrolyte boosters (bars, drinks, gels, etc.) while running 12+ miles and GU is by far my favorite. I like this source of energy while Im running because it is portable, light on stomachs, and works in about 10 minutes (when taken with water).

> 24 hourSo I actually have a pretty simple flavor taste, but Ive used these Gu Energy Gels for both Marathon race days as well as training. Theyre lightweight, easy to swallow, and typically do not leave a bad aftertaste. Vanilla bean is just my personal favorite flavor. Experiment with what you may or may not like. Always experiment with nutrition on training runs, and not race days, as everyones digestion is different, and they may cause upset stomachs if you havent used them before. Other than that, the only real downside, is if you dont stop to open and use them, they can make your hands sticky, because a little bit always kind of leaks out while youre opening and running.
