I lay my hot tools (hairdryer, curling iron) on top. This is a good size to fit one tool at a time. Designed with ridges. Easy to roll up and either travel or keep out of the way when not in use.

This is large enough for my 1 1/2 inch plate flatiron. And easily wraps around it for storage as soon as Im done with it.
