I like that the Matt’s hold it’s shape underneath the heat and are very durable , l will Oder again I recommend this product

I dont use it like a trivet. Ive been using this on top of my counters (like by the stove) to hold all my knives and spoons while Im cooking. Sure has cut down on the mess having a place to set all this stuff while you work! A lot better than those spoon holders. I merely hang this where I hang my pot holders, etc. as it has a cut out on one end for hanging. This is simple to wash and has saved my counters from having sauce and soup spills, or just having a messy counter. When Im done, take to the sink and wash off, hang and done.

I lay my hot tools (hairdryer, curling iron) on top. This is a good size to fit one tool at a time. Designed with ridges. Easy to roll up and either travel or keep out of the way when not in use.
