> 24 hourThis starter assembly is a direct replacement for post-2014 Hitachi RB24EAP blowers, with the alternative part # being 6600406. To check what year your RB24EAP was manufactured in, look at the serial number on the outside of the assembly. The 3rd digit is the year of manufacturing. So if your serial is P264023, the 6 is the year, so 2016. If your blower was made after August 2014, this is the correct assembly for your blower. If it was made before August 2014, then you need to look for part #6696572.

> 24 hourI have a gas blower Hitachi RB24EAP. After about 4 years I broke the pull cord. I spent an entire day trying to pack the starter spring back into place after replacing the rope. I watched a YouTube video where the guy made it look easy. But it wasnt easy. I had two people working on it and we still couldnt get the spring to stay in place. I was beginning to think that I was going to have to buy a new blower because of a broken rope which seems silly. I like this blower a lot and I wanted to keep using it. I found this starter and although it cost too much for what it is, in my opinion, it bolted on with four bolts fit perfectly and started my blower right away. Im back in business.

> 24 hourThis replacement is not close to the quality of the original. It has a short pull length to start. It also squeals a good amount when you have it extended when trying to start the blower. I should have saved my money and just replaced with a true original or not at all. I would not recommend this product.

> 24 hourWell you know the story, I pulled the string out of the housing. Man!!!!!!! Well I have never liked fixing the recoil starters on lawn mowers. I must say that this starter for my leaf blower has a very small nylon line and the spring and reel assembly is small as well. After several attempts to repair I stopped. My blower had worked flawlessly for years and I knew it had more life left. I didnt want to throw it away so I started searching for the new assembly. Ordered this and replaced the fuel lines as well while I had the cover off. The blower fired up and ran as expected. Thanks for having this part in stock...
